Very nice hotel. Staff is friendly & super helpful

Posted 21-Jul-2015
Pros: Staff and facility is top notch.
Cons: Lighting in the hallways of one portion of the hotel would be help seniors.
Location: Downtown is walkable, but will want to cab it home. Easy to catch a cab. Huntsman a across the street is nice bar too.
We stayed here recently and had a great experience. The staff could not have been nicer and gone out of their way to recommend restaurants, pubs and things to experience in Galway. Hotel is top notch. The only issue I could see were the dimly lit hallways might not be perfect for seniors with poor vision. We didn't have our folks with us so we loved the place.

Two day stay in Galway

Posted 03-Jun-2015
Pros: Room was excellent, all of the 5 star requirements were met.
Cons: Restaurant service at dinner in bars and food quality are not 5 star. Breakfast service was good, but food quality could be better.
Location: This hotel is away from the Galway city center. It is walkable, and taxis are easily available. There is a cinema behind the hotel.
Very nice, very modern hotel. Staff is accommodating and helpful.

We had a fabulous stay in the G Hotel. Hotel staff were all very friendly. After tea was gorgeous and the rooms were lovely. Very big with all the luxuries. Will definitely be back.

Magnifique

Special experience

Posted 14-Apr-2015 on Hotels
The staff were at all times friendly , cheerful and professional. The food ( breakfast only ) was excellent. The only , very , slight negative was that we and others had to wait for a few minutes ' to be seated ' at breakfast. Otherwise a really special experience

Was expecting a wow moment but I never got it.. and for the money paid for a Tuesday night stay you got everything you should get but nothing more.. I was disappointed that they charged €10 to use the spa pool I thought that was a bit mean and penny pinching. but overall a nice hotel that does everything it says on the tin

Good Hotel

Posted 30-Mar-2015 on Hotels
This is a really nice. modern hotel with fantastic customer service. We has a slight problem with our room heating and within 5 minutes of reporting it, someone was up to check it. As it couldn't be fixed they moved us to an upgraded room without hassle or debate. The reception desk, concierge and breakfast staff were superb. The rooms were good and the beds very comfortable. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the gym which is small and basic, given the rest of this hotel is so good. We walked into Galway which was about 15 minutes and an easy walk.

Quiet and relaxing

Posted 15-Jan-2015
Pros: Food, ambience, ecor, easy parking, extremely comfortable rooms
Cons: Staff could be more customer focussed. Reception staff - waken up. Corridors very dark....its a bit like walking into Hollister, u wish u had a torch!
Location: Handy location for where i needed to go. Not much nearby though.
Heating was on in the room this time on arrival so it wasnt like an igloo as it was last time. The beds in this hotel are the most comfortable beds (and pillows) that I have ever slept on. Cocktails are fab though pricey. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The shrimp bruschetta with hollandaise sauce was to die for. Glass of vino 9.50 euro though.....Staff were very attentive at first and then i waited and waited and waited for the bill then waited and waited and waited for someone to take the payment. Same next day for lunch in lounge. I had booked a table for a business lunch only to be told on arrival that the restaurant didnt open for lunch and they must have booked a table in the "lounge" for me?? Hello, I wanted a quiet comfortable lunch without a gaggle or ladies who lunch giggling over our shoulders. Anyway, the food was again great in the lounge. Menu a bit limited though. Staff arevery pleasant but not very attentive once you have been served your food.
