Just OK

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Seemed great from the lobby. However, halls and rooms were hot and musty and there was an issue with the electric not being able to power anything form an outlet.

Nice hotel! Front desk ok!

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Had a wonderful stay. The facilities were great very nice gym and pool. Kid friendly. When booking hotel we had asked for rooms connecting or near each other. Rooms were on different floors and far away. It really was an inconvenience because our kids were in that other room. They were with my 26 year old niece. We saw a couple if rooms on our floor that were being cleaned and ready for occupancy but front desk didn't seem to have it together to make any changes. It woukd have been an amazing stay if they were a little more accommodating and helpful.

Great location at Galway Beach!

Posted 27-May-2014
Pros: The location across the street from the beach.
Cons: Add an in-room refrigerator.
Location: Beach is 50 yards from hotel; shops and pubs are not quite close enough to walk to.
We arrived to the hotel rather late in the evening and I was concerned since the email from Expedia said we must check in by 6pm, but there was no problem. Despite the hotel seeming very busy and lively the check-in process was very quick and we were in our room within 5 minutes of walking in the door. Our room was on the top floor so away from any lobby noise. The beds were very comfortable and all of the usual amenities were included, with the exception of an in room refrigerator. We would have liked to have on because we had brought some leftovers in with us, but it turned out that it was quite chilly outside so we just put them on the window ledge, which worked fine. The breakfast buffett included in the rate was extensive with lots of choices. Overall it was a great experience!

Ok for one night

Posted 12-May-2014
Had booked a double but got a twin room, moved us to a double which badly needed a good cleaning, dust on kettle, cups and glasses dirty. Had to call re; no electricity. Staff were helpful but expected much more from this hotel.

Nice hotel shame about the view

Posted 11-May-2014
Pros: Right on the prom, close to conference I was attending.
Cons: Let visitors know in advance if view is poor. My room looked on to a wall - 6 feet away would consider paying more for a sea view.
Location: Lovely walk along the prom short drive to city centre, everything available there.
Staff very friendly approachable, no hot water second night / next morning very apologetic. Bar food ok, waiting staff busy, a little difficult to get attention. Breakfast staff lovely - generous with time and couldn't do enough to help.

Good Position, Good Facilities

Posted 14-Apr-2014
Pros: The gym, the bar / bar meals and pleasant staff
Cons: Breakfasts are less than perfect at times when large numbers arrive and the staff have difficulty in accommodating everyone's demands
Location: Very pleasant to walk along the prom across the road
This hotel is right across from the beach and has some excellent facilities. These include two indoor pools, gymnasium, a very pleasant bar which serves food until 9pm, and generally a very agreeable ambience.
