In a way we are very thankful that we ended our trip around Ireland here, as it left us incredibly eager to see home again. The man that greeted us had to ask our name twice whilst making us wait in the sitting room as he ran off to 'check things' this made us feel as if we shouldn't be there. We had booked a family room, and for our £149 we were given an attic room, which was cramped and seriously overheated. Our view of the outside world was the roof of another building, as well as the sky. A potential positive was the bathroom, which was the same size as the bedroom, however, I could not even rate it as a positive. The soap, shampoo and body wash had all been used by whoever was in the room before us, the shower was disappointing in the water pressure it provided (I had to remove it from the wall to get properly rinsed, which also alerted me to the fact that the handle of the shower clearly was not cleaned). The Jacuzzi was also there, of course we didn't use it because it didn't appear clean either. The cups, and glasses provided for refreshments had to cleaned by ourselves before using them, there was a horrible smell coming from the small fridge, and on one of the beds there was what we hope was a tea stain on the sheets. We had not booked breakfast (something we had not realised but all the same, our mistake) and were informed it would be an extra €8 each, something which we opted out of after seeing the room.
