Nice hotel pity about the room

Posted 03-Jan-2015
Wifi comes free with room that wouldn't work in my room! No minibar in room which to get drinks you had to order from room service at a cost of €4.50 each time. Television in an awful spot that you could not relax and watch TV in bed.

Excellent location, great breakfast buffet

Posted 02-Jan-2015
Pros: Attention to detail by the staff and the amazing breakfast
Cons: The location of our room was 1384, I location was a bit away from reception, I dint mind that but when we go into the secnd lift it was so cold,
Location: Perfect location for a short or long term stay access to all sights.
My partner and I stayed in Galway for one night. The hotel was excellent. The staff catered for my every need. I'm an ex- hotel manager and I have to say the buffet breakfast is the best breakfast I've had. Well done for mantaining a high standard of service.

great spa and attentive staff

Posted 10-Dec-2014
just back from Galway, hotel is well placed has very reasonable car parking of 5euro per night for covered parking, and the spa was excellent, only slight downside was the service at breakfast, food good but almost appeared that the waiting staff did their best to avoid you.

Great hotel for Galway

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Great hotel in Galway. Ever so slightly out of town means this hotel is quieter than most, but has exceptional facilities and great staff. It's only a short walk to Eyre Square or reception will book a taxi (that arrives almost instantly) to take you further afield. Will definitely be back.

Good hotel close to City Centre

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff, leisure centre
Cons: Hotel could do with some upgrading e.g railings by swimming pool badly rusted in places. There is a charge for car parking which is outrageous.
Location: Excellent location within a couple of minutes walk to city centre and all amenities
Stay in this hotel most times when in Galway. Now could do with some renovations/touch ups as a little dated. Friendly staff with good food and reasonable priced drink although buffet breakfast can be cold depending on what time taken. Good leisure centre and facilities though there should be a robe and slippers provided in all rooms for guest use. Superb location in Galway City and overall reasonable value for money

Could have been a much better experience.

Comfort of room (125) was impacted on two fronts. The air conditioning was noisy and the noise and bad launguage from the smoking area was extreme.

weekend break

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: good location, clean and good food
Cons: Price and could do with some new towels
having stayed at the Radisson before we knew what to expect, busy hotel, room clean, bathroom fine, good breakfast on both mornings, couldn't fault hotel, its a good location for city centre, only complaint would be the price, quite expensive, but that said, will no doubt stay again

Good close to town

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.. However we needed a cot bed in our room so there was no room to move around at all.. Larger rooms for families perhaps!

Excellent hotel in a great location!

We really, really enjoyed our stay at the Radisson Blu in Galway. It is very close to Eyre square and it's two seconds away from the train station. When the front desk found out that my fiance and I were celebrating, they sent complimentary wine and chocolate to our room. A very nice gesture that was much appreciated. The room was spotless and very comfortable and we also used the thermal suite at the spa. Guests of the hotel pay 20 Euro per person to spend up to four hours using all the various steam rooms and saunas and it was a great experience. We would definitely come back here. Also, the breakfast buffet was very impressive and had a large selection.
