Good location. Close to major sights.

Posted 11-Sep-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Too much furniture in room made it seem very cramped.
Was ok. Was easy to get to. Travelled with others who found bed uncomfortable.

Great hotel, friendly staff, relaxing stay!

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: Everything was spot on, so no stress or worries.
Cons: Shower could have been more impressive to wake me up in the morning.
Location: Easy to find, central location, with plenty of bars and restaurants outside the door, and main shopping, bars and restaurant area a 5 minute walk.
20th Anniversary trip with my wife to Galway. Hotel made everything easy, and atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable which was exactly what we were after.

Excellent central hotel

Posted 31-Aug-2014
Park house hotel is an excellent central hotel, that offered good breakfasts, and valet parking. The room was an excellent size and great condition. Would happily return to this hotel if staying in Galway again. The hotel is also central to going out into the town for restaurants and pubs. The staff were always courteous and helpful.

What a hotel is suppose to be like

Pros: It's Victorian appeal and the services. The food was really good.
Location: Centrally located near all the sights and shopping...as well as food, drink, and entertainment.
A most welcoming place to stay. A very comfortable atmosphere. Really enjoyed the stay.

Galway Great!

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Location is only part of its greatness. Besides being close to everything you'll want to do and see, there's a relaxed classy comfort coupled with a friendly welcoming staff. Good beds and modern baths are a plus as are the restaurants and pub. And you'll feel like you're in a real Irish hotel the minute you walk through their doors.

Lovely hotel in the centre of Galway

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: This is a very traditional hotel with excellent rates of customer service
We booked this hotel for a 4 night stay following recommendations on previous internet reviews and we weren't disappointed. The hotel is in the centre of Galway with easy access to all the sights. Every member of staff, without exception was pleasant, friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. We booked room only as this suited our requirements best but we could have eaten breakfast or dinner in the hotel at any point during our stay. We used Boss Doyles bar within the hotel and the lounge bar most evenings which can be highly recommended. We booked valet parking during the stay and this made life so much easier. Thanks to Brendan for his hard work and help with this.

Stayed for 4 nights Galway Race Week

Posted 09-Aug-2014
Pros: Everything but especially, the atmosphere [Irish hospitality at its best] and the formal dinning restaurant.
Cons: This is not a corporate hotel, this is a place which is privately owned. ‘Improvements’ would destroy the feel of the hotel.
Location: Everything a small city has, is on the doorstep
This hotel is Irish service at its very best. The staff are wonderful and reflect the very high standards of the owners [Kitty and Eamon] who could not be more professional or welcoming. It is no exaggeration to say that the guest is king. When we stayed we saw the owners first thing in the morning and last thing at night. They are ‘hands on’ and therefore the hotel is always spotless and run with great efficiency. The hotel is centrally located and has a very good formal dinning restaurant [where the food is excellent] and a more informal bar where a very good lighter style menu is on offer. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. This is a busy hotel with people popping in for coffee and a chat, therefore its an easy place to stay whether one is travelling solo or as a couple. Galway itself is a magical place and The Park is a right in the heart of the city. There is valet parking at the hotel. I highly recommend The Park House.

Perfect location in Galway

Posted 28-Jul-2014
The Park House Hotel is located two doors away from the official Tourism Office, 5 doors away from the Aran Islands ticket office, and close to pretty much any part of the city you want to see. The staff is gracious, friendly, and extremely helpful. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast offering was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Galway.

Location, Location, Location

Posted 11-Jul-2014
Our hotel room was dumpy-two single beds pushed together it seemed, given that there were single headboards still on the wall. The bathroom was not great either. The location was fantastic, just across the street from the bus station and around the corner from the train station. It wasn't the worst hotel ever, and certainly if you had a night to spend in Galway you could do worse. The staff were great.
