4-Star operating like a 5-Star++

Posted 17-Dec-2014
Pros: Breakfast, lunch and dinner in the dining room as classy, high-end experiences.
Cons: Truly nothing could be improved, these guys know how to treat people well!
Location: You are right off Eyre Square and minutes from the train/bus. Great shopping, and easy access to Connemara and all that the west has to offer!
This is a gorgeous hotel in a great location. The highlights are: modern, clean rooms, excellent service with staff that really know how to treat people well, and the BEST of all -- the food was amazing! This place is a busy hotel, and the staff work hard, keeping the place impeccable, the wait staff are silver-service trained and the menu and chef are to be complimented. I would not bother staying anywhere else next time I am in Galway. Bravo Park House Hotel & Staff, this place is magical.

Nice location. Felt too young to stay there.

Posted 15-Dec-2014
First, I want to say that the hotel is very clean and centrally located. The parking was a little challenging to find. However, once I went in to ask, they had an easy map with clear directions. Our overall experience with the staff was that we were a bother to them. It seems as though they are really only interested in their guests that are a little bit older. At breakfast, we were seated in a side room (both mornings) instead of in the main dining room. Our waitress was great in that room, it just seemed a little odd. Whenever we needed help, the employee was usually speaking with an older guest and it felt like we were a bother. I would recommend this place as a great place for the 65 plus crowd.

Great hotel in the center of the town

Posted 02-Dec-2014
Pros: I loved the friendly atmosphere and the rooms were comfy.
Location: The location is perfect, you don't need to rent a car if you plan your stay right.
This hotel and the staff was supreme. It has the best steak house in Galway and the rooms and amenities are top notch. You can walk to most restaurants and bars, very convenient.

Wonderful Hotel

Posted 30-Nov-2014
Pros: Everything-nothing to be improved!
Cons: Not one thing!
Location: Nearby all things Galway-shopping, pubs, eateries and historical sites! Just ask the hotel staff about anything, they'll practically take you there.
I travel quite extensively, especially domestically within the U.S. This hotel is the best I've stayed at in dozens of years!! The hotel is spacious, but not impersonal. It has a class and character rarely seen with any hotel, including supposed "5 Star" properties. The rooms are big enough to be comfortable, especially for European standards. The staff is the friendliest and most accommodating of any I've ever encountered. I could be sitting in the lobby reading the newspaper and within 10 minutes someone will be offering me coffee or engaging in conversation about my stay. One of the owners, remembered me and my family daily-asked how our prior day was and any events we discussed in our last conversation. I was checking out and they remembered we had a rental car and had it warmed and ready before we asked to have it retrieved. This is hotel fantasy land--- a special place, not soon forgotten!

Buena ubicación pero ha vivido tiempos mejores

Posted 04-Nov-2014

3 day stay in Galway

Posted 27-Oct-2014
I had high hopes when I chose this hotel. Location was excellent and the staff were extremely friendly. The down side was it was very very noisy. You could hear every persons door shut around you and it was a slam. Very upsetting in the middle of the night. Also, were late sleepers and you could hear so much noise between rooms shutting and staff cleaning around 9-10am. Also, you can hear people rummaging around upstairs. Can't say that I've ever had any of these problems with any other hotel that I've stayed at. But, this is an older hotel so it's to be expected I suppose. The bed was not the most comfortable either. On a postive note, the location was perfect for us, the staff was extremely helpful and nice, the place was clean, and the restaurant food was good.

Hotel is in an excellent location

Posted 04-Oct-2014
Pros: All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and a lovely breakfast in the morning. The location of the hotel is just perfect.
First visit to Galway. Enjoyed our time spent there. The hotel is in a perfect location for the centre of town. Took a drive out to the Cliffs of Moher, a lovely experience.
