Great Affordable Option!

Posted 16-May-2015
From the minute we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. We were VERY early for check in, but they held our luggage and put a rush on our rooms so we could get in earlier. The rooms are well appointed except for two things: 1. There was no AC and it was quite warm. You can open the windows, but... 2. ...our room overlooked the street so there was a lot of traffic/pedestrian noise. I would ask for a room on the back of the hotel! The room rate came with breakfast which was a great buffet and every staff member we interracted with was stellar. Highly recommend!!

Felt like it was brand new and was surprised to find out it was 16 years old! Walking distance to the train station and downtown Galway. Very modern - generous breakfast included. Very quiet and lovely staff. Would definitely stay again.

Nice location

Posted 08-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, Location, Location
Cons: Parking in some of the spots in the back of the hotel can be challenging if you have a larger car, so be aware of designated parking spots as marked.
Location: Venice Pizzeria is about a block and a half away-best pizza in Galway.
Very convenient location walking distance to Eyre Square, Shop Street, Spanish Arch, and the City Center. Good restaurant in lobby, in the event of bad weather and you don't feel inclined to venture out. Hotel staff was very helpful, and restaurant staff provided good, prompt service with decent menu selections. I would definitely stay here again when returning to Galway.

Doors slam shut so late night guests forget and you are woken up. Bar prices steep

Pros: One of the most comfortable hotel beds I ever slept in!!
Cons: The water vending machine!! ;)
Excellent hotel, chosen for its location close to the city center, but not in it. Clean, comfortable, outstanding room! Breakfast buffet was impressive, with full Irish Breakfast options. Staff very courteous, knowledge, friendly, and helpful.
