Pros: Leaving
Cons: The TV, the toilet, the door lock and the sobriety of certain guests
Where do I a start? Was it the room card keys that wouldn't work? I really didn't want to walk back down from the third floor to have them remake new keys, especially after dragging suitcases all the way up to our room. The chambermaid let us in after trying to use our key and failing. I finally got the key to work after 4 minutes of angling the card different ways in the slot (management, if you are reading this....we were in room 329). Finding the toilet seat cover on the floor next to the toilet was both tacky and sad. Not too be too nitpicky, but the TV is below the level of the bed as the television stand is only 18 inches high off the floor. Please don't reply that this is standard in Ireland. I've traveled to Ireland three times now and have never seen this oddly constructed and placed TV. I guess it was a moot point as the channel changer didn't work. All in all, it was a roof over our head and we were out of the rain for a quite night in our room until the drunks stated their 5 am conversation in the hallway. Next time i'll just sleep in the car; at least I know the radio works.

Convenient and friendly hotel

Posted 20-Jul-2014
Booked this hotel last minute for a one night stay in Galway. Bit of a walk to the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas but definitely doable. Friendly staff, good food, late night pub on premises. The rooms were clean. No complaints at all. If I end up for the night in Galway someday again, I would look this place up.

The bar food was excellent, reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and very helpful and proficient. Loads of parking spaces.. Nice busy hotel with hussle and bussle which was nice to see. We had a great time that we booked an extra night.

Good Hotel

Pros: Good location and plenty of parking.
Cons: Better signage for the cark park entrance would help.
The hotel offers something that most hotels don't now, which is the option of a smoking room!!

Room for improvement!

Posted 02-Jun-2014
Rooms on the front are quite noisy with the traffic and no double glazing - No air conditioning. No safe in room despite advertised. Dining room manager excellent, but wait staff require more training - Did not cope very well with large crowd... Had one quite unpleasant and arrogant check-in staff (male), the others were very nice and helpful. Room rates were too high in comparison with other similar hotels in the Dublin. Breakfast rates are very reasonable.

Hotel was ok

The problem I found was the walls were very thin. I could hear everything.I stayed on a Friday & Saturday night. Both nights people came back around 2:30AM I was woken by the noise until they decided to go aseelp. I could hear their whole conversations. Then a girl decided to have a bath a 3am after her night out. I thought the pipes in my room were going to burst. I could then hear her chatting away to her partner. A very tiring weekend. I was never asked when leaving if I had a good stay. Disappointing. It wasn't cheap either I paid €183 & breakfast wasn't included
