“Great and Loud Location”

We stayed here on our honeymoon for a few nights. The location is great, very close to everything. The only problem was the very, very loud music, laughter, talking right outside the hotel. Might as well of been right outside the room door. Windows were closed, but we were kept up until the very wee hours of the morning (at least 3am every night). I didn't really mind it too much, but my wife didn't sleep much at all. If you don't mind things being loud during the late evening and early morning hours, then definitely stay here.

Music from the club below thumped late into the night. Stay away or stay awake.

“Not impressed”

The hotel is located in the heart of Galway, great location, walking distance to the Spanish Arch and shopping and dining area. However, the hotel isn't maintained enough and due to the bar close by, it has lots of noise during the night.

“Close to everything”

Great location for someone without a car. Easy access to bus station, community park, shopping, good food, and touring. Ireland was better than I expected.

“Fantastic for the price”

The location was fantastic -- close to everything we wanted to see. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms very comfortable, and breakfast was very nice. Considering the price we paid and the location, we weren't expecting such a nice place. However, the reviews complaining about the noise at night are pretty accurate -- we were on the third floor, but could very clearly hear the DJs in the bar downstairs. Luckily I sleep through noise easily, but if you have a hard time, might be best to take earplugs...
