I was there just for the night, having missed the 7:30 pm ferry to Inishbofin - didn't feel like driving all the way back home to Clare and back again in the morning, or putting my dog through the trip. I was able to secure the last private room on hotels.com, and the reception desk was staffed until I arrived after having dinner in Galway. The bed was comfortable; there were bunk beds too, as it was a family room. The room was spotless, the toilet modern and nicely laid out, and the shower spacious. There was a little bit of mould on the ceiling above the shower, which I'm sure the management will deal with. There were some pleasant 20-somethings from the Continent in the kitchen across from my room, which was also spacious and well-appointed, with a big island, dishwasher, sitting area and computer desk. I couldn't stay for breakfast but I was very happy with my stay and will definitely return again for a leisure visit some time.
