Great Location

The apartments were great just a few small issues , the gate remote wasn't working and the radiators in both the bedrooms were not working which was annoying given the cold nights an Irish winter can bring.

Great Location

Posted 03-Dec-2014
Pros: Great location and nice change from a hotel. Parking was a definite plus.
Location: Within walking distance to Eyre Square and many restaurants/pubs.
Spent a night in Galway after visiting the Cliffs of Moher. It was nice to stay in an apartment after 1 1/2 weeks in hotels. Apartment was spacious and had a small washer/dryer unit which came in handy. Apartment unit was pretty basic, but great for a couple of night.s

Great location

Posted 21-Oct-2014
Pros: Location and space
Cons: Needs a little paint and attention.
Right in the centre of town, great location, good facilities even though one it two little things were broken. Good base and modern but needs a little tidy up to be great.

It is close to a bar and it was extremely noisy all night, otherwise it was satisfactory.

Not worth the money

Given the many hotels available in Galway, we would not stay here again. We were on an extended trip and stopped here for three nights, as much as anything to use the clothes washer and dryer. There are several laundromats in the area so this should not be the reason to stay here. The staff at the Western Hotel, which is where you check-in, were nice enough. Finding a place to park so you can check-in and out is a bit of a challenge. We did not try the restaurant and bar at the Western Hotel so no comment on that. As far as the location, the apartments were only a few blocks from the main tourist areas of Galway and convenient in that respect. The apartment itself was disappointing. The furniture was coming apart at the seams. The supplied cookware, pans, utensils etc. were VERY limited. Forget a coffee pot though there was some instant coffee and a dirty, hot water kettle. The bed was very small, hard and uncomfortable. Expect street noise to wake you early in the morning. Shower water temperature was variable. Only the most basic channels on the cable. On arrival the wifi internet connection was not working. Each apartment has it's own wireless router, hanging from the wall jack by it's Ethernet cable(!), with limited coverage area and, after rebooting it, we could connect to it. However the downstream router was not working so internet access was not possible. This was fixed half way through our stay. Overall, there has to be better places to stay in Galway.

bare bones, but nice

location was very good, and the rooms were adequate, but really lacked a lot of amenities - full kitchen, not not much in there. Floors looked clean, but were dirty, but overall the apartment seemed pretty clean. Good place for the price, especially for a two bedroom.

It would have been nice to find ice in the very large, empty freezer. It also would have been nice to have cofee-making facility. We brought our own coffee, but had no way to brew coffee. We had to go down the street to the Western Hotel for ice and for a coffee machine ~ inconvenient.

Extremely hard bed, kitchen cabinets delaminating, washing machine very noisy .location good. Overall a bit disappointed compared to the other hotels we had stayed in of similar value. Would not stay again.
