Quick weekend getaway.

Older, but very nice hotel in the middle of Galveston. Walking distance to shopping and lots of restaurants. The valets were great! They shuttled us to dinner and to the Hotel Galvez that accomodated our kids with a nice pool and accomodated us parents with a nice swim up bar!

We are unhappy with the valet parking. Not impressed with automobile security!

When the car was returned, DAMAGE had been done to the right tail light. Valet attendants denied any responsibility, and Towne Park insurance claim there is no proof that that there was any negligence on the part of the Town Park employee. The car was in their possesion the entire time. Because of this, we will likely not stay at The Tremont House in the future. There are other hotels where they take care of customers vehicle.

Neighbourhood recommendations: Downtown Galveston is recovering its old characture. We would recommend visiting the Strand.
