“one more time”
Outstanding Rally
“Will never stay there again”
We arrived at the Hotel check in was very smooth no problem except for having to lug luggage up to second floor for only a one night stay. We settled in for the night and were watching TV when I noticed a bug on my arm then there were more and more of them, they were on the walls and all over the bed. I called the desk and asked them to come up to the room to see what was going on. They were very polite and offered to move us to another room which they did. The only remark which really upset me was when they said this has not happened in quite a while. It was a very nice place to stay and we would have been quite happy staying there but not with the bugs. We still have not been able to identify the bugs nor was the manager able to identify them, all I do know is they were air borne and quite frankly looked like termites. On a positive note the staff was very friendly.
“Good hotel for the price”
I would recommend this place if you don't mind driving approximately 20 or more minutes to get to the Galveston beach. I thought it would be much closer to the beach, and was surprised at the drive. Next time I would spend a little more money and get closer to the beach, but for the price, the place is good. Beware, though, if you don't like firm beds, you won't like this place. The beds are extremely HARD! And the channels on the TV were very, very limited, and what few channels I could get, the reception was awful. Don't plan on watching the TV while you're there. Free breakfast was convenient though.. And, another plus was there was a Walmart right around the corner and we were able to stock up on stuff to take to the beach.
“Average quality”
Hotel was about as expected. Nothing great. Check -in was very quick and the clerk was friendly. I requested a non-smoking room, but received a smoking room instead although I did not complain since I am not too offended by a smoke smell. There were several stains on the carpet in the room, but otherwise all else seemed clean. I would not rate this hotel any more than average quality. It seemed about on par with most other similar chain style hotels along freeways. A continental breakfast was served each morning and was sufficient for my needs. I would probably choose another place next time even though there was nothing that was really bad about this place. Just my preference. As far as safety and security, I never felt un-secure while there. I would only recommend this hotel for someone just needing a stop for the night before continuing on to their destination. i.e. A place to lay their head and no more. On a 1 – 10 scale, I would rate this hotel at about 6.
“Very Suprised!”
I am not completely sure how the star ratings for hotels are given, but this hotel deserves more than a 2 start. It is definatly not the fanciest hotel I have ever been to but it was very nicly decoated and one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at in a while. I was extreamly impressed and that doesn't happen very often. I was also impressed by their continental breakfast because it had a waffle maker for you to make your own waffles.
“It was fine, the drive to the island was a good location”
It was good, we just needed a place to sleep and the pool was nice inthe evening. It was good location. The breakfast was very filling. The service was nice, we had no complaints. We usually stay in a condo, the room was what I had expected, I mean we were not in the room much at all, so nothing to complin about.
“Very Comfortable & Clean”
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We there to visit my brother in the hospital who is very ill. They made the trip alot more comforatable. Thanks best Western
