We are a young family with 3 young kids. We have a good time at Tanjung Rhu, The beach and swimming pool are to die for. My kids spent all their time on the beach and the family pool. We love the family pool so much and most of time time, we were the only family who occupied the pool. Excellent and helpful staffs. Will definitely stay at Tanjung Rhu again for our next vacation in Langkawi.

Exceptional. When we arrived they had no record of our booking due to a breakdown of communication between Expedia and the resort. They very calmly fixed it and gave us a free lunch and room upgrade in the process. Later in the stay I had an accident (my fault) which was not too bad but could have been a lot worse. The quick first aid response and subsequent follow up over the next few days was outstanding. And generally the resort facilities are great and the staff throughout could not be more welcoming or attentive. On top of that, the location is lovely - Langkawi is a UNESCO GeoPark and the mangrove forest is very close.
If you're looking for somewhere cheap (ish) to stay and are planning to be out and about for most of the time, this hotel fits the bill. It's crumbly about the edges (though apparently being renovated). It was fairly clean, but don't expect much. The airco in the room was loud and not particularly up to date. OK for a few nights, but definitely not ideal. To be fair that is reflected in their price.

Nice hotel for RM68 per night. Consider the price which only RM68 with buffet breakfast is one of the cheapest in town. The room is clean, we stay in standard without window room number 212. The staff clean our room everyday. However the shower little bit broken and the water pressure not really good in the morning (I think because many people use it in the morning). The hotel location is strategic, 15 minutes walking to night market (every wednesday and saturday), 5 minutes walking to wonderland seafood (one of the best seafood in town with affordable price), RM8 taxi to jetty or eagle square. We could check in before 2 pm if the room available (they let us check in at 10am). Breakfast is buffet (fried rice, sausage, noodle, bread, cereal, etc). Absolutely we will come back if the price still around RM68 per night.
