“Will look elsewhere next time.”

Room had a musty/mildew odor. Luckily only booked for one night.

“Super * Gainesville”

This was the smallest hotel room that I have ever stayed in. It was about the size of a cabin on a cruise ship. Our room was convenient to the front door and to the pool. In fact, we had only to draw our curtain to be at poolside. The grate on the windows prevented us from getting to the pool from our room. The staff were excellent. The free breakfast was meager. The location was close to our destination and the highway. I think I'd travel a bit further next time.

Area recommendations
La Quinta - next exit up was much more pleasant.

“Nice Hotel, No Frills.”

Good Super 8 Hotel. Close to shopping, restaurants and I-75. Not far from UF. Was a football game weekend and we didn't have any issues. Clean room and lobby. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Hotel has indoor corridors.

Check out the Gainesville magazines in your hotel room; they list a lot of fun events and venues to visit.

“unattentive staff”

staff seemed not to be truly committed to customer satisfaction. they appeared to be quite negligent and on top of that, my internet connection at the hotel wasn't working properly.

“Not impressed”

The check-in staff was unfriendly. The room had a strong smell from the cleaning supplies. Opened the window to ventilate, but there was no screen, bugs could get in, and had to close it. Couldn't open up the hall door because was across from a smoking room (and they were smokers) and you could smell it in the hall. Put on the bathroom ventilator fan for several hours and it got less noticeable later in the evening. At 9:30 PM, the upstairs neighbor was causing a lot of noise (like heavy footsteps or jumping around) which was very noticeable in my room. Amazingly, this went on for 1.5 hours. In total, I did not have an enjoyable experience with my one night stay.

“VeeCee's Choice”

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. When the toilet over flowed, there was no problem. We called the front desk and the clerk came down to the room to see what the problem was, she saw and handled it with no problem, she moved us to a different room for no extra charge.

Area recommendations
The side that this hotel is on NW or SW. I really don't know which side, but to me the west side has always been the best side of G'ville.
Shopping
A lot of the shops that you would need are right there on Archer road and the Oaks Mall is at the next exit up so shopping is a breeze right there.
Dining
All the resturants and the food that we like are right there on Archer road so things were good in that respect.

“Gainesville Bargain”

Very friendly staff, clean, inexpensive, continental breakfast included. Great location, one block from a shopping mall (try the Alehouse--tasty food and a fantastic beer selection).
