TV was poor only 17 channels. Door locks were from the 1930 s. Nice courtyard and bar. Good breakfast for $25 per couple. Best reason to stay is location by the Ferry to Aero

Old fashioned and charming hotel
It’s an older hotel and had some charm because of the antique atmosphere. The room was larger than most hotel rooms. We could hear the people walking in the room above us.

Felt like royalty
We loved our stay at the Romantic Suite! We felt like royalty. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the jacuzzi was fabulous, and the balcony had the best view of the harbor. Breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious.

Charming hotel on the harbor
The hotel is located right on the harbor, and I imagine on a sunny day the view would be great. The rooms are grand, the style is old but charming. The breakfast was great with a wide variety of the danish breakfast cuisine. We also had dinner on the restaurant the night before, which was simply delicious. All in all I would definitely come back on a sunny, or even rainy, day.

The location of the property was great and the food was wonderful. The bar/check-in area is very old world and inviting. It is a very old property that is in pretty good condition, but be aware there are no elevators, we had to walk up three flights of stairs with our bags to our room. It was also a bit confusing upon arrival where to use the free parking. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again, just be aware of the stairs.

Location is perfect. Room 105 had garbage outside windows that smelled. Get a different room and I would stay there again

we loved Svendborg and the Aero Hotel was the perfect location! Dinner in the hotel was delicious as was their free breakfast. Highly recommend!

Avoid Saturday nights unless you love live music !
Location, room, service and breakfast were all good. The only problem we had was that our room windows (on top floor) were onto the main road (Brogade). T hat was fine as it is quiet for traffic, but what we did not realize was that next door was a music venue (see http://strandlystsvendborg.dk/ to check for the events !!!) and on the Saturday night there was live music that went on to 2:00 am and every time someone opened the door (to go out for smoke etc) the music became so loud it woke us up. Even after the stopped music we still had drunk locals talking (shouting) in the road outside until after 4:00 am it actually stays open for drinkers until 5.00 am!). So I think we got about 3 hours sleep Saturday night !

Hotel is an old one that has been lovingly restored and modernized. Rooms facing the court yard are nice and quiet. Staff was extremely helpful.

Good location on the interesting Svendborg waterfront and only a five minute walk from the train station. The ferry to Aero island and its streets of well-preserved 18th century homes leaves from in front of the hotel. Our room had a nicely furnished sitting room and looked onto a small patio. One concern is noise, especially on weekend nights. The outdoor bar at the hotel is open late and there is a nightclub next door. Unless you want to join the party, you should ask for a room that is away from the street.

A very charming hotel with a great location on the harbor. The room was lovely, beautifully decor. Friendly staff, especially Freddie who was extremely helpful & personable. Would highly recommend.

All round nice waterfront hotel. Excellent breakfast with really good coffee. Important! My wife found her bed (typically Danish twin beds, pushed together) comfortable, and slept soundly. I thought my bed was too hard for (my) comfort, and the polyester-filled pillow had broken into its constituent lumps! Very little sleep for Daddy Bear!
