“Average Hotel”

Great customer service hotel in a fairly convenient location. The hotel was comfortable enough but has seen better days as evidenced by the condition.

“Not Impressed”

Had to wait long time to check in , because not enough personel toman the desk while that person was doing something else. Gave us the wrong room to start with. We booked a king and they gave us a double, they changed when we went back to the desk. The bed did sleep well. The chairs in the room were stained and looked real dirty. The lady in the morning for breakfast was back working early , after getting done the day before at 2:00 am , because workers called in. They need better management.

“Employees were Excellent!!”

This hotel is a bit worn down and in need of upgrades. However, the staff at the hotel is EXCELLENT! I was not feeling well, and my daughter became ill during our stay, and they were more than helpful, bringing our breakfast up to our room, and helping us out in numerous small ways. Cheerful, friendly, helpful....they made up for the fact that the hotel itself is a bit worn out at the edges. We had a very comfortable stay.

“College Visit”

Beds are old, flat and hard. Rooms and bathrooms old could use a freshen up. However, the staff and food except the buffett on Saturday morning was great. It's an older hotel with a musty smell and not very soundproof. The staff made it a better experience. But I'd look for other accomodations before I'd go back to Riverside.

“Only a bed and a shower”

The Riverside Inn at Fulton New York was in a good location- easy to get to and from my destination, for the type of hotel, it was pricey. The hotel was a bit dated, but I don't consider this much of a negative. There was a major cleanliness issue in my room in one of the heating vents- appearing to be animal droppings, the upholstery stained. The hotel staff was accomodating and quick to respond to try to fix the problem. When it wasn't immediately possible, they were happy to change my room. The replacement room also had dirty and stained upholstery and the toilet was in need of some repair (a flapper, which made the toilet run continuously). These problems have simple solutions- cleaning of the upholstery of the chairs and attention to the small details. Even though the hotel is dated- cleanliness really changes the outcome of any stay. The staff was quite friendly - so all I can say is staff great - rooms not so great.

“Acceptable, but rundown”

The entire hotel has a feeling of disrepair. The side door lock does not work in the rain, our toilet leaked noisily, the carpets were wore down to bare floor in spots. But it was clean and comfortable. The toilet was not repaired during our stay, despite reporting it the front desk just after arrival.

“Not Impressed”

After arriving back to the motel at 11:30 PM we found the battery to unlock our door was dead so it would not accept the key pass. The night clerk couldn't locate the person who could unlock the door but, because there was one vacant room left we were offered it. OK, but all our clothes, toiletries and medication which was needed was in our room. Their reply, sorry, thats all we can do. We requested non-smoking rooms but the rooms had a distinct tobacco odor. Not a place to stay if you want a fresh smelling room.
