Fantastic all-round hotel
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Iberostar. The staff couldn’t do enough for us, the food was excellent with lots of variety, the animation team and choice of activity was superb.

Perfect beach location
behind. The room was a partial sea view which was lovely and not just a glimpse either like so many partial sea view rooms from experience. The rooms were very clean as was the pool area and eating areas. A good choice of food with a few themed nights too. Staff were all very friendly especially the reception staff who were very helpful on check in and out. Entertainment crew worked very hard day and night and the shows were a very good standard. I would recommend the Playa for families with older children over the Park which tended to be mainly younger children. We travelled with 2 mums and 3 boys ages 14 & 16. Well done to all.

first off describing this place with words doesnt do the place any justice. the staff are incredibly professional in what they do, always smiling and helpful in every regards by far the best group of staff in a hotel that ive encountered. the hotel is absolutely top notch with exceptional amenities and wonderful shows at night. the hotel is fabulous with incredible beach views and terrific food services provided at breakfast lunch and dinner times. im only just back from this place and have it booked again it was that good, you will not be disappointed.

Every aspect of this break exceeded our expectations, the Star Prestige lounge was an great touch as we had access to good quality coffee at any time night or day. The hotel, ground and sunbathing areas were very well maintained and the staff could ne be more helpful! I only have one negative comment that while the food was very good the labeling of what was vegetarian was very poor and often the labels either had the incorrect ingredients listed or did not relate to the items they were marking.

Really dissapointing experience. Great location, very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms but the food was awful. Really terrible food. We went all inclusive and it was such a mistake because we really struggled with the food. It all had to do witht the quality of the ingredients, you can tell they are cutting corners with the food. They desperately need a good chef and to invest more in sourcing better quality ingredients. Also, there is no room service or any other payed alternative onsite so you are stuck with the cheap buffet. That basically ruined the whole experience for us. Also the lifts are very outdated and small and some of the hotel infrastructure really needs a makeover. The large pools were really cold so we could not use them. The towels could only be exchanged until 1:30 p.m. which made no sense whatsoever. A special recognition to Olga, the lady that works at the restaurants, she was very friendly and welcoming. Entretainment for children was great, and my daughter really liked Starky.

Some good, some not so good.
Great staff, loads of food and drink included and perfect location for the beach, but the quality of the food was not very good and the beds were poor. You might want to brush up on your German so you can chat to most of the other guests. Oh, and the sunrise from the "partial sea view" room was terrific. Most nights were themed in the restaurant so lots of different things but all very similar - like a dozen or so different fish on the fish night, but little else. The labelling was poor too, so beware if you have any allergies or are vegetarian as some dishes labels as vegetables only contained fish or meat. Also check the freshly cooked food on the griddle, it wasn't always cooked properly - again especially the fish. But if you are careful, you can find plenty of tasty food as there is so much choice. The king size bed was two singles pushed together, which was to be expected as that is the norm in many Spanish hotels. What we didn't expect was that they are on wheels which do not lock, which I first noticed when sitting up in bed to read and a big gap opened up as the bed moved away from the wall. This problem can also make it either hilarious, interesting or annoying at other times - if you know what I mean 8-) Overall the staff were great, the drink flowed and the entertainment was excellent, especially the in-house team. A good few days away.

Nice 4 star close to the fabulous beach.
I will try co be consise. Very clean and taken care of hotel. 4 star hotel that outperforms Tasty and well presented food which makes the big difference. Nice pools and close to the fabulous beach. If I had to pick on something there's only one power outlet in the room and it's far away from the bed so extension block and long charging cables are a must!

Well-cleaned resort close to a good beach
No kettle in room. Needed a 20 euro deposit to hire one. Not clear before travel and not clear that is what one has to do. No offer to take said kettle to room to room. No cups for teas or coffee in room; 'borrowed' 2 x cups each day from restaurant. No power outlets by bed for cpap [apnoea machine] or similar. Luckily we took 2 extension leads. No directions or instructions for air -con control and needs enhancement of general comment about air con from effectiveness; i.e. it says that the system is best if doors are shut but it simply won't work if patio door is not locked; I.e. handle down and interlock made is only way the air con will run. Rooms are very hot. Balcony directly overlooked terrace bar. Jacuzzi inoperative in pool. Shower scalding on hot water max and no warning. Laundry promise is inaccurate. We had some washing done and there is a contractual promise on the form that says: "if handed in before 09.00 am will be returned within 24 hours". Ours took 2.5 days. TV reception rubbish. Wine in bottles in restaurant and bars is good Help oneself to beer and wine very good. There are lots of Germans and their 'continental' approach to rule-breaking bed reservations and queue jumping is very frustrating. The resort would benefit from a smoking area as there is tobacco smoke everywhere.

Relaxing break but with a few minor moans!
Iberostar cannot fail to deliver. This hotel did exactly what we needed, a nice, clean, spacious, modern hotel with the high standards set by Iberostar. The hotel is one of three sharing the same location, to the southern end of Pajara - Jandia & its elevated position gives it a grand feel. To give you a specific breakdown would bore even the average person to tears, so the good: weather, friendliness of Anna at reception (amazingly friendly) quality of food, premium drinks and the good all round feel. The average: typically sunbeds, they go first thing, reserved typically by mainly Germans at this hotel, turning up at 4pm & that wasn't impressive. The beds were rather hard too, but that's typical with this brand. The poor: sunbeds again mentioned and although the good was of great quality it was repetitive and that let itself down on, the beverage machines for soft drinks and coffee & tea were frankly not good at all. It seems Iberostar also has a few miserable employees, entering a bar for a coffee (a nespresso) bar lady threw hands up and shouted 'closed..closed' before storming off in a huff shaking her head, our crime was wanting an Americano and a Cappuccino! But don't let these put you off. Southern Fuerteventura is beautiful so go and relax and enjoy yourself!

Lovely hotel but poor internet connection
This is a lovely hotel. Clean. Close to beach although on a hill. No obvious push chair access to beach. Lovely pool. A rich variety of food. Very Friendly and animated staff. Good entertainment for kids and adults. All inclusive package is very comprehensive. Great views of he sea and hills from the hotel. The only major down side to this hotel is that there was very poor internet connection and if this is important to you then please choose another hotel otherwise it is a lovely hotel. Also an hour away from the airport but a picturesque journey through the mountains and hills. This might be important if you have little kids who may not like a long transfer.

Great place for family. Fabulous food and drink. I tried all their cocktails, enjoyed them. Staff very very passionate, courteous and friendly. Entertainment department was excellent, special mention for Esther, Kevin, Mattia, Lulu, Stano. Chefs and staff very welcoming and the quality of the ingredients used were very good. We also had a free family photo shoot on the beach and bought some fabulous shots from Vista photography, who operate from the hotel. It was a family holiday that we will never forget, for all the right things.

Had to watch football match in German, as most of the guests were German when we arrived. Though people are not supposed to, most of the sunbeds were taken early in the morning even if not using them. The same with the evening shows, most seats were taken well before start time. We were only allowed to use the parasol and sunbeds in the hotel. At the beach, the hotel does not have any parasol or sunbed, we had to hire them from the beach bars. Bowling, football table, air hockey, we had to pay for. The food is good, but the wine, sparkling wines and beer is of poor quality. The cocktails were OK. The coffee was very weak. There was only one treadmill in the gym. We had to leave a deposit for beach towels. There is a weekly fee to use the safe.

Staff fantastic and seem happy in their jobs. Not enough sunbeds and too crowded where they are, people still reserving their sunbeds. Food very good but too much garlic used. Corrona Bar excellent.

Fabulous hotel with great customer service. All inclusive package includes branded drinks and Cava flows endlessly. Would definitely stay here again even though there are few English tourists.

Great Christmas break!
Great break. Food was really good and varied. The weather was surprisingly good right up to Christmas Day itself which started windy and slightly overcast but soon cleared up. Only issues were lift broken down for a couple of days and bathroom could have done with a decorate/refurb.

Very nice place. Superb views of the great Jandia beach which stretches forever. Food very good. Lots of choices and nice restaurant with a lovely conservatory to sit in. Well stocked bars and excellent service. It is worth pointing out that this is a 99% German hotel. All fine but you do get presumed to be German and every so often get spoken to in their language, both by staff and fellow guests. Can be a fraction awkward

We spent seven nights here early November - opted for upgrade to seaview suite which gave big balcony, son loungers and pretty direct access onto the beach itself. Good quality food and drink although perhaps the dining area a bit crowded. Well-run hotel with good range of activities. Pools were a bit chilly though. 95% of clients were German so if you don't speak / understand any German, you might feel yourself a bit isolated - although animation team and other staff do speak English when needed!

The service and food was top notch. Only problem was the noise coming from neighbourhood to our room. The bar nearby had some music event going every night till 0:00 AM, which kept us awake, as our balcony was facing directly to that direction. Also there was a noisy ventilation machine next to our balcony that started every morning at 7:30 AM, waking us up. Everything else was really great, and we had a good time. Our only gripe is the mentioned lack of silence at night.

This hotel is perfectly acceptable, but having stayed at an Ibersotar in Brazil before I really couldn't compare the two. Traveled Aug 2011: Rooms: We had a side sea view room which was facing something of a cliff but the beach was visible. No sun bed on balcony. The bathroom is nice but quite dark, especially over the bath, and the shower pressure was not very strong but adequate. Toilet paper a bit hard too. Basic cane furniture in room. No drinks in the minibar but 2 large bottles of water which are replenished daily. There's a charge for the safe and a deposit for the key must be left. Restaurants: Didn't visit the themed restaurant but the buffet was quite nice with a good variety. Fresh fish is served daily but beef is not common here. Chicken is also served frequently. Good variety for children. Pool restaurant food is well made and hot but mostly burger, hot dog and pizza with a salad bar though lunch is available in the main buffet as well. No real provision of food after dinner. Bars: Cocktails made from fresh fruit would make a big improvement to the syrup slush they currently make. Big dissapointment there! Atomosphere generally good but a live act instead of a DJ would also make a big difference (at least once a week). No waiter service. Pool bar drinks limited to slush, soft drinks and beer. Pool: Didn't feel heated and very crowded around pool. This hotel needs more poolside space. Sometimes lucky to get a sunbed. Towels can only be changed every other day.

Mycket bra hotell, med service i toppklass, många typer av aktiviteter, hög personaltäthet och bra mat- och dryckesutbud. Enda på minus-sidan för oss var att rummet, som förvisso hade en superfin utsikt mot havet, var daterat inredningsmässigt, samt att ganska många i personalen saknade kunskaper i engelska (tysk-dominerat hotell). Hotellet förtjänar även en bättre butik med mer genuint och kvalitativt utbud. Det kändes konstigt att det såldes kopior på stora varumärken, tror att gästerna hellre hade köpt originalen alternativt helt andra produkter. Men det är bara en iakttagelse, resten av hotellet och upplevelsen var som sagt toppen!
