Well, it is typical modern European hotel. Nothing like US, but it is very clean and nice. Keep in mind Queen bed, is not really an american queen bad. It has 2 smaller bads connected together. I must say slept like a baby.
Breakfast was excellent and inexpensive. Bar is open until 2, i belove, and you can meet many people there, even Americans. Very popular hotel in the area.
Parking is a pain, tiny on the back, and you have to pay for it. If i get to this area again, certainly i would pick this hotel. Summers probably are gorgeous there because hotel is suited across the street from lake. Ah, there are excellent restaurants in a walking distance.
Stayed for three nights Sept 2014 - wonderful hotel in a great location. Very clean, fantastic breakfast with superior service and it was within walking distance of enough to keep us busy for several days. Nice touch was the comfortable sitting area just outside the front door which let us enjoy evening cocktails while watching everyone walk by. Highly recommend.
Close to a 4 star hotel in quality. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, nice linen. Bathroom a plastic cabin which might be off-putting for some, but great for steam ironing a shirt :-). Decent breakfast. Overall a good experience.

We booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had good reviews, however I have to admit when we arrived we were a little unsure as the outside looked a little downbeat especially as they were doing work on some of the rooms.
However, we couldn't fault it, the man who checked us in was very friendly. There were small packets of sweets on the bed and free mini chocolate bars and drinks (even beer) in the reception area that you could help yourself too. Extra little touches that are not normal but very much appreciated!
Had a two night stay in hotel. It is a drive out of Friedrichshafen. Pleasantly surprised that the family room comprised two separate bedrooms, a small living area and a bathroom. There is a restaurant on site and breakfast is self service. Plenty of parking on site. Hotel is more in Ailingen and there is not a lot to see or do there.
