Very nice stay
We were there to attend a high school reunion, and the hotel was a reasonably priced option for everyone. The location couldn't be more convenient. The breakfast was very good, although I would have preferred the bacon more cooked. The service was excellent throughout the hotel. I recommend the street-view rooms over the less expensive courtyard ones if you are staying more than one night. We will stay again for sure.

Excellent.I stay there whenever I come to Fribourg
Location is terrific, about one block from the Cathedral and still walking distance from the train station. The staff is friendly and it is almost supernaturally quiet at night.

Nice hotel
The hotel is a little old but comfortable with modern conveniences. It sits at the bottom of the main street for shopping and restaurants with a nice view of the cathedral across the street. Very easy access to a few restaurants — all walking distance. It was a couple of hot nights with no air conditioning so we had to open the windows. It was a bit noisy with some late night traffic but it died down and we got good sleep. Staff is superb, friendly, and anxious to help. Can’t ask for a better stay in sleepy (?) Fribourg.

Reception was very welcoming. We had an issue on first night and afternoon receptionist was able to help us in a very efficient and professional manner, and with a smile. It made our next few nights much more comfortable. We did not have breakfast at hotel, opting to have out in town. Hotel location convenient to old town, museums, eateries etc. Love the outside seats, especially in late afternoon where it was shaded and cool and you can watch the people in the streets. Great view of the cathedral. Bells were not an issue. Transport easy. We did upgrade to a comfort room as the economy did not suit us. Recommend to stay.

Area - Positive easy to get to places Negative the constant bell noises throughout the night if light sleeper will be very disturbing but because we were very tired it was only disturbing on the first night but everyone else in the group said it was okay so depends Breakfast Not worth it personally Cleanliness Positive Room cleaned daily Staff Most were nice especially the female on the first night Overall Wouldn’t return but fine for the first time

It's ok.
It was ok for a night, not the most modern, or best kept hotel. Breakfast was OK. All this could be because of the church bells waking me up on the hour, every hour... not the hotel's fault, however if the room had an air conditioner, i'd have had the windows closed... Nice town, and the hotel is well located. Parking is a bit hit and miss though.

Excellent Fribourg Hotel
Lovely hotel in the heart of the Fribourg Altstadt. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is well worth the cost as the selection and quality rivals many other hotels where I have stayed. The hotel has no dedicated parking but on street parking can be found and the staff will explain how to pay for that. I would not hesitate to stay here again on a future trip to Fribourg.

Wonderful location! Beautiful town. Lots to see, convenient for walking. Our room faced the Pl. Notre Dame and Cathedral St. Nicholas. Is parking next door, can buy pass at hotel. Ask staff as you can time purchase of pass to suit your needs; parking is free overnight. We loved it here.

Best place to stay in Fribourg
Lovely hotel. The best breakfast! Wonderful comfy bed mmmm so good where do you get those pillows??!! Friendly and kind staff. Wifi not good on one of the days but then it was great again on my last day. Perfect location near the old town and super bars and restaurants nearby. Best place to stay in Fribourg no question.

Easy for old town
The hotel is really convenient for the centre of Fribourg. It is walking distance from the station but is also within an area that has multiple places to park (really handy for my friend who had a car). Our room had a view over the cathedral but we could walk to the city walls and the old town. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Centrally located in the old city of Fribourg! Accommodating w/early check in and kept my bag for me after i checked out seamlessly. They provide water/coffee in lobby for guests. It was in a safe neighborhood.

I loved the location and the day staff was very caring and helpful (called taxis several times and would help me to naviguate in the town. However, the night staff was unfriendly (not even saying hello) and the check in took 35 minutes and was done wrongly. It had to be corrected by the day team. Finally, the rooms do not look like the pictures at all. They are very ancient and not renovated. The matress was however really good and the pillows too. The manager explained to me that not all the rooms were renovated but that the ones on the second floor are so think about it when booking! Overall, you pay for what you get. I was travelling for business and will be back to this hotel when needed.

I booked a superior room and my room was NOT as described and on the pictures. The pictures I saw while booking were showing a bright and large room with a separate sitting area. My window faced a wall and the only equipment available was a desk and a chair (on which the lamp was broken). I mentioned this to the staff and instead of a solution or an apology, I was met with indifference and with an explanation that I was wrong and that my bed was apparently a few centimeters larger than a regular single bed. You can do better...

Excellent location. Close to the gorgeous old town. Easy to get to everything else. Quaint old hotel with rooms of a slightly more modern decor. Comfortable beds. Was a little noisy if you left the windows open from some traffic out the front so maybe would ask for rooms towards the back of the hotel next time.
