Decent place for the price

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, comfortable beds
Cons: Common areas need deep cleaning and/or updating; buffet needs to be restocked more frequently; front desk staff was not very friendly or accomodating.
Location: Near Fresno State, restaurants and shopping close by, also close to SR168
We have stayed here several times in the past and have been very satisfied. This trip was disappointing. The first room we were given had wet carpet, not just damp, but very recently shampooed. We were moved to an upstairs room, which we found odd since the front desk person said there were no upstairs rooms available. Hotel has gone downhill in the past few years as far as the cleanliness of the halls and dining facilities. There was hardly any food left at the breakfast buffet (out of several items at 8:00a.m.). However, it is a convenient location and the beds are comfortable so we will consider staying here again. Note: There are several bars and restaurants nearby so expect some commotion around closing time if you are on the north side of the hotel.

Old but clean

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: The pool was good. The beds were comfy.
Cons: Staff and breakfast
Staff was rude. Call to get extra towels and they said the maids hadn't come in yet This was at 9 in the morning. they said we could go down to the lobby to get the towels ourselves. The woman at the front desk when we checked in had horrible customer service, she was not friendly at all. A lot of sports teams staying there. The breakfast looked terrible and they were out of everything. We ended up going to McDonalds instead.

Very decent hotel next to CSU Fresno

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: Good facilities and good location
Cons: Our room was in a separate building, and somehow our room key (and so did a couple other people's) could not open the building entrance door!
Location: CSU Fresno, resteurants (a nice looking one next to the hotel, a Chipotle across the st). A 7-11 right outside. Macy's Target, bit strip mall nearb
The room and hallway very nicely appointed. Clean and well maintained as well! Breakfast is warm and has good variety - just somehow didn't have enough oatmeal to meet the demand. Hotel is next to CSU Fresno, and there are plenty of eateries and even shopping malls around the corner. Reasonable price.

Pros: The breakfast was okay,The lady that served breakfast was super nice
Cons: Staff needs to be a little more professional
Next door was a 7/11 store, too many people hanging out. There was a couple arguing in parking lot.

Okay hotel for an okay price

Posted 16-Mar-2015
Paper thin walls, could hear every conversation in the hallway and in the rooms near you. Stains on the carpet floor and the bathroom shower's floor was all ripped up and black. They did have a comfortable bed and for the price overall it is understandable. Although the pictures of the room look a lot cleaner than the one we were in

Old hotel with very dated amenities.

Posted 14-Mar-2015
Pros: The hotel is centrally located on the north part of town. At $67 per night that's the maximum its worth.
Cons: The paint work inside and out in addition to the entry and lobby are dated and need refreshing. The foe wood flooring in the hotel corridors lookcheap
Location: Close to the university and cheap food is located on the corners to the hotel
As the hotel is mainly booked by college kids the recent finishes have been applied to easily hose the place out. Not very attractive or inviting. The rooms are comfortable with the main bed area the only place ant carpet is located. Breakfast while adequate was poorly presented with paper plates and plastic cutlery. The food taste was reasonable but needed to be drowned in salt, pepper, tobacco and ketchup to improve the flavor.

Posted 10-Mar-2015
Pros: location
Cons: Everything

Arrived & the rug was stained, windows filthy, screen on window ripped & sink in the bathroom plugged. Called the front desk requesting another room. Moved us, rug still stained it just felt dirty. Then our card to room wouldn't work.

A good hotel in need of upgrades.

Posted 09-Mar-2015
Pros: The staff make a tremendous effort and the rooms are clean and reasonably quiet.
Cons: Rooms need updating. Wallpaper is peeling in places and some things in the rooms are pretty beat up. The breakfast has declined in recent years.
Location: Good restaurants in walking distance as is University, Stadium and Savemart Center. Of the hotels in the area, this is the best.
I had a fine stay at the hotel. No serious complaints. I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times a year for the past several years and I had a good experience this time as I always have in the past. If you need a place close to Fresno State, this is the best. Pool and jacuzzi area are great and well maintained. With some basic upgrades to the rooms, the lobby and the breakfast this place could be an outstanding hotel.
