Came to New Orleans to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and we were definitely not disappointed with our stay at the Bourbon Orleans! From the moment we entered the beautifully decorated lobby filled with marble floors and columns, wool needlepoint rugs, antique furnishings, crystal chandeliers, and enormous fresh flower arrangements, we knew we were in for a special stay. Once we arrived in our room on the 4th floor, we discovered a wonderful oasis that was well-appointed and beautifully designed, with a gorgeous view of the lush courtyard and saltwater pool, and unlike many French Quarter properties, the room was surprisingly quiet, in spite of the revelry going on outside. The hotel staff had thoughtfully left us a chilled bottle of champagne and glasses to begin our anniversary trip with a toast! The beds were extremely comfortable and the linens were perfect, especially the down-filled duvets which were reminiscent of European hotels we've stayed at. The soft, fluffy absorbent towels were better than any others we have experienced in the past! The room service breakfast was extremely good and was surprisingly well priced! We loved this property so much, we could have stayed for a week! We will definitely be back!
Small but Clean rooms windows a little dirty, but overall satisfied. 1 block from Burbon Street close to everything very quiet rooms. Breakfast was disapointing for the price. Overall happy with hotel will stay again.
"Luxurious hotel in the heart of the French Quarter"
Hotel Mazarin is a quiet, private oasis just steps from Bourbon Street. It is situated in the heart of the French Quarter, but as soon as you step inside, you forget about the hustle and bustle outside. There is a gorgeous open-air courtyard where a delicious complimentary breakfast is served daily, in addition to several smaller outdoor areas adjacent to the guest suites. It was an above average hotel, very reasonably priced, and its quality exceeded my expectations. I cannot wait to go back!
I liked this hotel. Staff was polite and friendly. Kept rooms and hotel clean. No alarm clocks in rooms but I used my cell anyways. Perfect distance from Bourbon St so you can have fun but sleep peacefully. Complimentary hot breakfast daily at 8am... Would stay here again!!
The hotel is located a block from Burbon St and we enjoyed our stay however, the room was worn and quite small. It had a retro feel and a TV from the 1980s. I expected more. More class, more "French feel" as some one noted in a review. It was 1960s at best. The bathroom "vanity" was broken and the shower head horrible. I really am not a complainer I was just disappointed in the $200 room. The staff was very friendly. The restaurants were very good!
Loved the location close to Bourbon Street and shops. It has nice quaint rooms, no hassle parking, a lovely courtyard with a pool, friendly staff. My family had a great experience and would definitely recommend staying here
The staff here was very helpful from the moment we arrived. The gave us suggestions, maps and anything else we needed to get where we wanted to go. The hotel room was nice and cool when we got there and had a wonderful balcony view. There is a wonderful courtyard for morning coffee but we had the room with the balcony so we sat out there. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, the location was close to everything. Really the staff was the best part because they were so helpful.
With its mix of sacred and profane, the French Quarter defines laissez-faire. This 85-block area is home to Bourbon Street’s rowdy bars, as well as Royal Street’s upmarket antiques. The devil’s music—in the form of New Orleans jazz—thrives at Preservation Hall. Nearby, hymns accompany Mass at St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. A block away, French Market vendors hawk foods and souvenirs.
