“Will be back next year.”
What a great vacation can't wait to go back next year. Upon arrival we were informed that we have been upgraded to the Radison Our Lucaya although our room was not ready at check in, we took a quick tour of the property and had a drink at the pool bar. Our room was just as we expected clean, large, with a great view of the pool and ocean. Although housekeeping could have been a little more attentive to details such as towels and toiletries the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff couldn't have been any friendlier and helpful, the grounds were clean and beautiful. We wouldn't change anything and would highly recommend staying here and we will be back again next year.
“Radisson Lucaya”
Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Security folks were there all the time and I always felt safe. Maidservice was great. China Beach restaurant was disappointing as the hostess who seated me was rude and unfriendly. The food was marginal and expensive. Spa services (massage, manicure and pedicure) were excellent. Maasage therapist knowledgeable and proficient. Pool and beach super! I will stay there again!
“Great Location”
While the hotel accommodations were good, the location was great! The hotel was across the street from the Lucaya Marketplace which was awesome for food, bars, and daily adventures. The hotel was great with day plans. Anything we wanted to do, they would help us get it done, organize transportation and call to make our reservations. Great place to stay! right on the ocean, choice of pools, and a casino (not the best casino, but still nice to have.)
“We Shall Return!!!!!”
A wonderful experiance. We go there to relax and everyone was great. The breakfast pasteries are extra special. Thanks to all the staff for taking such great care of all our needs.
“So sad to leave!”
When we arrived, our taxi driver told us the Lucaya Reef was down for renovations, and we would be staying at the Radisson right next door. Check in was fast, the rooms were awesome, and the location couldn't be better, it's right next to the "square" where all the night-life is. The best thing about it is we paid for a room at Our Lucaya Reef and ended up at the best hotel on the island for not a penny more!
“Unexpected upgrade!”
I guess it would be an inconvenience for some, but the hotel was beautiful and the memories will never be forgotten. The Radisson was more money when booking, but honored my reservation from Reef Village (Ocean View room at same cost). The hotel staff was VERY friendly and the beach was outstanding, as the room was. I think someone could have emailed or call me to tell me the hotel was being renovated. Still not that much of an inconvenience since it was next door.
“No charge upgrade to a suite!”
The free upgraded suite was beautiful; entrance foyer, living room, bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a private balcony with stairs right down to the beach. Service was great, the location was beautiful. Very convienient walk to Port Lucaya for shopping and food. Our Lucaya resort was quite empty because of the economy; during the day it seemed there were more people on the beach from visiting cruise ships than from the resort. Pools and beach at the resort were first rate. Sunrise near the infinity pools was amazing. Billy Joe's conch salad was the best! The lack of crowds was nice and very quiet; we felt like we has the whole end of the resort to ourselves, but it was also a little sad in a way. The resort staff was great, and all the locals we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.
“can't wait to go back”
we have been to freeport about 6 times 8 years ago and stayed at the Princess Cuuntry Club and were VERY DISSPOINTED TO SEE THAT IT HAS NOT BEEN BUILT BACK
“Bahamian get-away”
Fantastic get away! Didn't know what to expect - and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was warm and friendly and went way out of their way to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Great pools and a fantastic beach. One of the best aspects of this hotel is the market across the street. Everything you want is there including many restraint choices. Very safe. Le Med is very highly recommended - breakfast, lunch or dinner. They grow their own vegetables and you could taste the freshness. Their early-bird special goes to 6:30. The only negative from the trip is that the hotel is showing a bit of age - but who wants to stay inside? Highly recommend this trip.
“I will be back”
The property was in great shape. The housekeeping staff is one of the best i have encountered. The only problem i had was the room safe was broken upon arrival and i was told it would take days to get the part. The hotel was less than full and a simple remedy would have been to take the part from another room but the maintenance dept. did not want to go the extra step to ensure a top quality stay. That being said the location was top notch centrally located to a variety of activities. The marketplace is a pleasant experience for souvenirs. A must do is the wednesday night fish fry on the beach. The people of the bahamas are extremely polite and engaging.
