“Freezing at hojo”
The problem that we had with this hotel is that it was freezing. I believe in saving energy but brrr. There was no heat in the halls at all! We needed our coats just to walk inside! There was a new heat unit in our room which heated up fairly quickly but we had to leave our coats on till this happened. This hotel is in a convenient location close to everything but yet we didn't hear any of the noise. It has had some recent renovations making it look very nice. Our room was clean.
“not worth the money”
The room was dark and smelly with creeky floors. It had popcorn ceilings. The carpeted floor was filthy . The floor had a big drop in it near the bathroom causing you to lose your footing. The only view we had was from a window that overlooked the hallway, Privacy wasn"t easy to come by as people passing through the hallway would look into our room. So creepy! There would have been only two positive things about the room, one being the flat screen T,V, the other being the new bathroom but the contractors forgot to bolt down the toilet! they was banging and bashing going on all night right above us I was afraid the popcorn ceiling was going to fall on us, The breakfast was very disappointing as well. This room wasn't worth the money we had paid as it was more expensive than our other hotel,
“Not Impressed”
The place is old and old smelling and for the price I think we would have been able to stay at something a little better in upkeep. The best thing about the hotel was it was within walking distance to restaurants

Pleasant stay as we were passing through New Brunswick on our way to Nova Scotia. Arrived at 3am and the staff was awake, friendly and helpful. Room was a little on the small side, but we just needed to sleep, so it didn't matter. Beds were comfortable and continental breakfast was adequate and free! Only issue was high speed internet didn't work for us, but the staff tried to help us. They had a desktop in the lobby so I used that as I was checking out. Would definitely stay again.
“A good stopover point for the price.”
It's an older hotel but clean and presentable. There were alot of guests there for wedding parties but still was quiet. It was raining so the outdoor pool with bar was not used. Not sure how noisy that would have gotten on a nice evening, especially if your room faced the pool. May stay next time but may try elsewhere as well.
“Not Impressed”
First the "not so good": The room was very small. Barely enough room for the bed. The room was stuffy and needed the air conditioner (noisy) run constantly. The hallways had peeling wallpaper and outdated deco. Breakfast was so-so. No iron in room. Out of the 3 hotels we stayed at during our trip to Quebec City, this was the most expensive and by far the worst. Not impressed. Good stuff: Room was clean. Location was good. Service was good.
“Would recomend staying here”
We were very suprised when we entered as we have been to Fredericton many times and had stayed at another hotel that we liked for the convience but the Howard Johnson is even more convient as there are alot of resturants across the street,,there is a resturant in the hotel but we would not recomend eating there as it was not good,,very dark and not very pleasing.The hotel was great and will be staying there in the future as they have both an indoor and outdoor pool and the hotel is very clean.
“Functional but nothing special”
Rooms were adequate but oddly did not have an elevator servicing the upper floor.
