Comfortable place in a nice little town

Nice hotel in a quaint little town. The place was clean. Didn't appreciate having to HAND WRITE and sign a "WILL NOT SMOKE" waiver. If this is something which is hotel policy, they should have it pre-printed and not make me feel that I was being discriminated against or targeted.

Best pet-friendly hotel in the area

I don't have any big complaints about the hotel. The room was exactly what you would expect at a La Quinta and the facility was well maintained overall. The staff was also great. The location is convenient - close to I-10, not far from stores & restaurants, and also just a short drive from beautiful, open hill country landscapes. The free breakfast quality is probably a little better than average. The offerings are what you'd expect but the quality seemed slightly higher than some places we've stayed - including some LQ locations. If I wanted to complain about anything, it would simply be the small things that are true of most hotels: water pressure in the showers isn't very high, the coffee packets for the in-room coffeemaker aren't great, etc. But I wouldn't expect any different unless I was paying three times as much for a luxurious hotel. As with other La Quintas, our two dogs were able to stay with us for no extra charge, which makes us loyal LQ customers. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Location: Not much in walking distance. Acapulco Mexican Restaurant was -- it was okay.
Basic. No fridge. No TV Channel guide and confusing lineup. Free breakfast is mostly cold cereal and not much fruit; only hot item was make it yourself waffles. If there was yogurt I didn't see it; I basically decided to skip breakfast here. Comforter is looking tired. Elevator remarkably slow. On the plus side, the water pressure in the shower was good.

Night Noises

Pros: The hotel was new, clean, and honest - the beds and pillows were the best we have ever enjoyed!
Cons: I am not sure that anything can be done about the noise - it was unbearable!
Location: The hotel was in a good location, minutes away from restaurants on the river and shopping.
We loved this hotel, and the beds were the best we have ever stayed in - the only real disapointment was that if you are unlucky enough to get a room on the lower floors you will not get much sleep. We originally got a room on the second floor, and were serenaded all night with what sounded like clog dancers above us - it went on for hours. We moved to an upper level room the next night, and it was wonderful. We enjoyed everything that night that we asked to stay another night - but as fate would have it we ended up on a lower floor for our third night. And once again, we had someone with lead feet in the room above us - luckily they turned in early and we did get some sleep. Poor insulation or thin floors - not sure, but we will drive on next time.

Easy access off I-10. On Sydney Baker.

Pros: Cleanliness. I am very particular about my room being clean. And, the bed was very comfortable.
Cons: I have no suggestions.
Location: I had a car so this did not apply to me. Since I grew up in a town nearby, I often was in Kerrville often so know it fairly well. Plenty to do!
I arrived in Kerrville at Noon, checked in around 3 p.m., and found my accommodations neat and clean. The room was larger than I expected so I did not feel cramped. I rushed off to a wedding, had dinner, watched TV and slept very well; the room was nice and quiet. The next morning, much to my delight, there were scrambled eggs, sausages besides an assortment of pastries, fruit, and cereals. And, the area where the food was displayed was kept clean, and I told the man in charge that. Thanks for making my stay delightful, inexpensive and I will use La Quinta again, booking through Expedia.
