“HOME AWAY FROM HOME”

THIS HOTEL IS VERY COZY AND CONVENIENTLY LOCATED OFF THE HIGHWAY. THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING AND THE AREA IS VERY QUIET. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THERE IS ALWAYS FRESH DONUTS,BAGELS COFFEE AND OJ IN THE MORNING. THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN AND BIG. I LOVE STAYING AT THIS HOTEL WHEN I VISIT MY DAUGHTER AT THE NEARBY UNIVERSITY.

“A Nice Stop On Our Trip”

We picked Thurmont because it was between Gettysburg and Washington D.C. and this hotel was just what we were looking for. It was easy to find from Rte 15 and was clean and comfortable. One thing to remember about hotels in Maryland: unlike many other states, they do have smoking as well as non-smoking rooms. So while my hotel room was free of cigarette smoke, the hallways had a faint smell. Not a big deal, unless you are very sensitive to that sort of thing.

We booked the Thurmont Super 8 because it was the halway point on our roadtrip. We only stayed one night. I was very pleased with the hotel. It was just what we needed....a place for a good night's rest, easily accessible from Rt 15, ample parking, comfy bed and a hot shower!! The staff at the front desk was friendly and courteous! The continental breakfast was just enough to get us going on our way in the morning! I plan to stay again when I make a long trip through Maryland/Virginia area.
