This Richard Branson hotel is still being transformed , but what's been done is classy , modern , and very appealing . The team are working super hard to ensure that the still developing offer isn't comprising the experience - so the welcome was warm , the service personable and attentive and the rooms pretty much brand new !!
I would totally recommend it
Ate at Miko in front of the fire on Saturday night , and had breakfast on the terrace bathed in sunshine on Sunday morning . It was perfect . Not super luxe but super classy
Fabulous little gem tucked away above one of the vineyards on the outskirts of Franschoek. The rooms are well equiped and a good size. Well stocked fridge (complementary drinks!), nespresso coffee machine and the usual tea etc. Lovely big bathroom and an outside shower as well as an inside one! The breakfast was always freshly cooked and very good quality. Ate at the hotel in the evening 3 times and the food was perfect. Excellent choice of wines, beer and spirits. Aubrey and Troy are excellent hosts and a mine of useful information.l

This is an absolutely lovely hotel. We arrived to find out we'd been upgraded to a suite whose two floors made it feel like a small house, and the staff were incredibly helpful from the off. The pool and surrounding area are lovely, and we ended up spending a whole day lying in the sunshine. The location is fantastic, a short walk or drive to Franschhoek's main road. But it's the extras that really make this hotel special: the free shuttle service to drop you off in or pick you up from town; the endless supply of sherry in the lounge.
In short, I can't recommend this enough as a great place to stay when you're in Franschhoek.

Charming Accommodation in the old Manor House of this operational wine producer. Good restaurant and wine tasting next door but you need to drive into Franschoek for dinner since everything closes at night fall. Took us a while to find the place since our GPS decided the place was 5 km from it's actual position. Go figure!
Tucked in a valley in the Cape Winelands of South Africa, the bustling small town of Franschhoek hosts some of South Africa's best vineyards and wineries. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Groot Drakenstein and Simonsberg mountains, Franschhoek is also known for its fine cuisine, which is largely influenced by its French origins and considered some of the best dining in the country.
