“Fine example of an airport hotel”

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and although the rooms are not as luxurious as some 4* hotels in Frankfurt they are perfectly clean and comfortable. The restaurant and bar both have better food and atmosphere than some more expensive hotels that I have stayed in and the pool and gym allow you another way to relax. Overall I have found this hotel to be perfectly adequate for the short stays that I have used it for over the past year or so.

“Hotel needed close to airport”

Hotel is 10 minutes from airport, typical small room but clean, Has bar and restaurant but a little pricey. Airport shuttle only goes to one terminal so you might need to plan a little extra time. Nothing in walking distance to eat or see, good hotel for a early flight.

“Unfriendly - watch out, there are two different buses”

Be careful when you get the Mecure bus shuttle from the Frankfurt airport. There are two different buses for two different hotels. Of course they are not labeled and given my luck I got on the wrong one. There is a Wings Airport Hotel and a Frankfurt Airport Hotel. One is in Kelstersbach the other in Raunheim. So ask the driver before you waste a trip. Of course the staff has no sympathy for my awkward journey. Besides this fact the neighborhood in the Kelstersbach hotel is unexciting. The food at the hotel quite mediocre and the staff quite unfriendly. But perhaps if you want to save money and need a place to catch a plane it was OK.

“Good for overnighters.”

Excellent for one night stay. Clean and the rate is reasonable.

The hotel is close to the airport and excellent for overnight stay before flight. The hotel's airport shuttle is a plus however you have to walk for about 100-150 feet from the bus stop to the hotel and it is very inconvenient if you are carrying 2 or more luggages or when it is raining. The restaurant is very expensive!

“good quality hotel”

Very good service all round with no complaints. An efficient and professional reception and restaurant with very good food provided and everything in good working order in the rooms. The hotel is in the middle of a very quiet industrial area and about 10 minutes by shuttle bus from the airport terminal. The bus runs very efficiently to the timetable but it can be a bit of a rugby scrum to get on it at the airport due to the crowds for all the hotel buses at the same area. Overall a good hotel to stay at and I would recommend it. to anyone requiring an airport hotel.

Area recommendations

City Centre of Frankfurt is worth a visit.

“FRA choices clearly limited”

The positive - great food in the restaurant, convenient shuttle service and the front desk staff was courteous. The negatives are more important - the shower curtain had three colors of mold [pink, black and light green] and the bathroom reeked of urine. All pillows were pillowcases stuffed with small lumps of plastic fluff. The HVAC didn't work properly and the temperature in the room never was below 79 degrees. I did not sleep, which made for a loooong exhausting trip back to Oregon.

“Very nice and convenient to airport”

Very good shuttle service to and from the airport. Not far away in a quiet neighborhood with nice surroundings. Hotel very well maintained and was room nice, clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable although the breakfast was rather expensive. I will plan on staying there in the future when I travel thru Frankfurt.

“Good lairport location, no airplane noise w/windows closed”

This hotel was typical of Hotel Mercure in Europe. Clean but fairly small room, comfortable beds. Functional and a good value. Well located near Frankfurt airport. Courteous staff.

“Close to Frankfurt Airport”

Close to Frankfurt Airport was our main criteria and this fitted our requirements perfectly. Bus a bit slow ... might have been easier in taxi. Overall very good.
