“Excellent hotel condition”

I stayed two hotels in Frankfurt durng my trip. Savoy Hotel Frankfurt (4 stars) and Golden Leve Hotel Frtankfurt. I found that the conditiuon of Golden Leave Hotel was much better than that of Savoy Hotel. Don't be fooled by hotel star ratings.

“Affordable and well located”

The room was nice and good sized. The tiny kitchen had a refrigerator, 2-burner stove, dishes, silverware, the basics. The location, one half a block from the trolly stop for Line 11, provided easy access to downtown, the U-bahn and S-bahn. It was easy to get around as the trolly runs every 10 minutes. I was on the railyard side of the building sleeping with the window open and while there was some noise it didn't bother me. For the value and quality of the room I was extremely satisfied. I didn't really cook that much. There are supermarkets and take-out places near by and we found the little Italian place between the trolly stop and the corner had great food (Gnnochi Gorgonzola = great). And a door or two away there was a Bakery (breakfast). With what I saved on food and the reasonable rate for he hotel I would have to say this is a fantastic idea. I would definately look here when I come back. Internet access (swisscom) is very expensive. PPV movies are automatic if you just select one of the PPV channels (be careful). Telephone may be a better deal than using a cell phone in Europe read the information in the room. It only takes 10 minutes to get to the old town on the trolly. National car rental is near by if you want to rent a car for a day trip.

“Good place to stay”

I read other Expedia reviews before choosing this hotel, and I have to say they were reliable. The hotel is in good condition with good facilities in the rooms i.e. Kitchenette and nice bathroom. Room was a little warm but a fan was provided hence slightly lower mark for comfort. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Tram journey into centre of Frankfurt was easy and cheap. Local supermarkets and restaurants provided plenty of eating opportunities.

“Modern Cool Hotel, a bit off the beaten path”

This is an up to date, German, modern hotel with a design sense. Staff was friendly, with more than adequate language skills. It is bit off the beaten path, but with good tram service, once you figure the system out. Breakfast was not included, but it might be worth the extra price in terms of the offerings that were laid out. Rooms were clean, new, well designed. Internet wireless service is available for purchase at very high rates, there may have been internet cafes close by, but I couldn't find them. Food was better downtown; local establishments were modest- which may or may not be a good/bad thing.

“Great hotel at a great price!!!”

Very clean and relatively inexpensive compared to others in the area. Close to the rails and trains. I received excellent service and they even had a free shoe shining machine.

“Highly recomend this hotel”

Clean, tidy and efficient. This has always been the case whenever I've stayed in Germany. But based on this recent visit to Frankfurt, when returning to any Germany city in the future, i would not hesitate to look for another Golden Leaf" hotel.

“A Great Deal if You Don't Mind a Slightly Peripheral Location”

As others before have said, the hotel is a little bit out of the way -- a 10-15 minute tram ride to the central train station. However, it has much to recommend it. If you go when a convention is not in town, the rates are very reasonable. The room itself was very comfortable. People have complained about the thin pillow; I just brought a small down one along, also useful for cushioning gifts. Having a kitchenette was wonderful, particularly as there is a great supermarket one block away, where I found really healthy food, including ready-made salads and great yogurt..together with lots of yummy but not so healthy food. The hotel staff was also helpful in terms of helping with traveling-related questions. I did not eat at the restaurant but it sure is nice to have one at hand. Finally, as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe in the neighborhood during the day...not sure I would walk around at night, but that's just me. All in all, I couldn't have asked for more ... though its slightly peripheral location added a degree of inconvenience for me and the tour company picking me up.

“A great hotel to have your stay!”

I have stayed at the Goldenleaf Hotel, six times over the last three years. It's a great value hotel, clean and comfortable. Very close to the Frankfurt Ost (East) subway station.

“Terrific”

Hotel is situated in a quiet, sleepy neighborhood, but near a couple of restaurants, and only two blocks from a subway station. Receptionists were freindly and helpful, providing maps and points of interests in Frankfurt. It has a modern feel to it and is light and airy. Room was spacious and well furnished, minibar stocked with beer, wine and water. Bathroom was big and well lit. Everything was spotlessly clean.
