“Great value and excellent food.”

The cab driver didn't have the faintest idea of how to get to the hotel. I reccomend that you call ahead for the hotel shuttle. The room was neat clean and perfect for an overnight traveler. Great price. The hotel resturant was a mexican name, cuisine, and decor and I being from Texas was a little aprehensive. The food was fantastic. The drinks were too. The breakfast buffet (not included in room rate) was by far one of the best I've ever had and I've been to literally hundreds in my travels. The hotel is about 1/2 drive from the airport terminal and far away from downtown Frankfurt, but if you're just spending a night or two, I'd highly recommend it.

“Good Value for Money”

The Carathotel is a good choice for an overnight stop between flights at Frankfurt. Sure it's not "at" the airport but it's only 15 minutes away by shuttle which leaves the hotel shuttle aisle at Terminal 1 (A1) promptly at 15 minutes past the hour. Return shuttles are on the hour. The location is an industrial estate but who stays at airport hotels for the view. The hotel is modern and functional and boasts a surprisingly good mexican restaurant which also serves more standard European dishes. Staff are friendly and efficient. Free wifi in the rooms. Breakfast is EU12 and probably worth the price. Given that a lot of guests leave around the same time, it can get congested. All in all, excellent value. Would definitely stay again if in transit.

Staff was very nice & helpful. The Mexican restuarant was good with lots of choices. Airport shuttle was free & left on time & was at my drop off within 15 minutes. Room was clean & not as small as most lower priced European hotels & the wireless internet worked fine.

“Good for an in-transit stay”

Simple, small rooms in a location convenient to the airport (the hotel said a 10-minute drive but it was more like 15-20). Staff was nice, and workers at the front desk had great English. Restaurant was good, though staff didn't speak a lot of English. Small shopping center with a grocery store, restaurants, and clothing/shoe stores a 5 minute walk. No alarm clock in the room, but you can request a wake-up call. Breakfast available for a cost (though I didn't have breakfast), though there is a coffee machine in the lobby for EUR 2-3. The bottled water in the room isn't free. Overall a very nice, well-kept hotel perfect for in-transit. I would definitely recommend this hotel for that purpose.

“close to Frankfurt airport, good value”

No frills, good value, 3 star plus hotel near FRA, free shuttle service to FRA every hour. Non-smoking room, very clean and nice. Nothing to see in the area without driving. No air-conditioning in room.

“Generally Fine”

Everything about the hotel was good, including the helpfulness of staff. Biggest problem was that the shuttle couldnt manage to connect with me to take me from airport to hotel for 2.5 hours. This was after a transatlantic flight so I was already exhausted. It did all work out, but oi!

“Good for an overnight”

Close to airport, but not much else good for an overnighter and hop on plane. Clean, comfortable, but would be warm in summer (no AC).

“GOOD HOTEL”

The price was right. We were on our last night in Europe, had a morning flight out of Frankfurt Airport. We looked for hotels near the airport - on Expedia. This hotel was listed as minutes away. It was not. and my GPS, which guided me all over germany, Switzerland and Italy, could not find this hotel. We called the hotel and they guided us to their location. As I said the price was right. Otherwise, I would have preferred a hotel more convenient to the airport. We did not eat there. The breakfast was a huge european layout.

“Convenient with free airport shuttle”

I selected this hotel for location and free shuttle service to the airport. I had taken the train to Frankfurt for an early flight the next morning. For that purpose, it was perfect. I would not have stayed here otherwise, it was very basic, but staff was friendly and helpful, Mexican-type restaurant on site open late. Shuttle service to/from the airport runs hourly, not on demand or continuous circuit.. Best to reserve a spot.
