“Great Nuernberg Hotel”

I do not understand why the current rating is only 2 out of 5; this is a great hotel in a wonderful location. All hotel personnel were simply wonderful and extremely helpful. My only less than thrilled comment would have to be the fact that because I got up at 3:00 a.m. and had to leave the hotel at 4:30 a.m., I did not get breakfast. I did have the option of paying 2.5 euros for a snack at the hotel instead of an included breakfast which started at 6:00 a.m.(it was easier to go across the street to the airport).

“This "pet friendly" hotel is NOT pet friendly!!”

My stay was an absolute nightmare. The staff lied to me, and treated me like crap. My room key states that there is an electronic entry log kept for security reasons, but the hotel said they never keep a record. Norman wouldn't let me speak to the manager because "he doesn't speak English". They lied to me about how many other guests were staying on my floor. They refused to let me call the police and wouldn't give me the number. Then they charged me 100 Euro to get my small animal out of the wall, when shouldn't be a hole in the wall at a pet friendly hotel to begin with! They also charged me for local calls... who does that? The only pro of this hotel is it is right across from the airport. Do not stay here if you are traveling with pets, this place is not pet friendly by any standards.

Area recommendations

Nuremburg is a wonderful city. Pottenstein isn't too far, it has a nice gasthof that the locals refer to as "steak on a stone"

“Germany Trip”

Nice airport hotel within three minute walk to checkin. Room was small, but comfortable. Did find a long hair in bed and the dining was very slow service and the fish dish was full of bones and was unable to eat. Food and beverage prices were too high.

“Convenient and comfortable”

With bad weather disrupting travel in Europe, this was the best move I could have made. Steps away from the airport terminal, this hotel was super convenient. A light breakfast was provided at the hotel for those travellers catching early morning flights. Altogether a very positive experience.

“Perfect for those traveling through Nurenburg”

This hotel was literally across the street from the airport and easily accessible from the train station by the subway. If you have an early flight, I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are nice and the service was friendly. It is good for business travel (or those with a lot of luggage flying out of Nurenburg the next day), but not for those who want a true "German" experience or to be near the sights in town.

Getting around

The U2 subway goes directly from the main train station to the airport, and the Movenpick hotel is less than a block away. It is easy to use. To get into the main area of town, you can get right back on the U2 subway and get off at the train station to see the market square, castle, etc.

“Great airport hotel”

This is probably one of the very few hotels in Nuremberg that can accomodate 3 adults in one room. The staff was responsive to our email request after booking. The room was clean. It took only a couple minutes to walk to the airport. With the subway station across the hotel, we found the location very convenient. We particularly enjoyed the coffee/bakery shop by the airport.

“Great for early morning flights out of Nuremberg”

I moved to this hotel for the last night of my trip as it was conveniently close to the airport (literally across the street). For future trips to the area, I will do the same. As expected, there isn't anything else around the hotel, so if you plan to spend a few days in the area, I suggest that you stay in one of the local towns as you'll have more nightlife options. I watched two of the World Cup matches from the hotel lounge/bar. The waiter/bartender was very friendly and let me sit there for hours.
