When we arrived we were not expecting such an amazing hotel. It says 5* on its entrance and we received very good service to indicate this. Rooms were excellent and when we asked to move room it was done so immediately. I would say ask for a room high up (there are 18 floors) we only moved as was on 2nd floor above disco which was too noisy. 18th floor restaurant was excellent, especially the flambe. Excellent breakfast too.

"Awesome location & facilities - bus to everywhere!"
I chose this hotel on Expedia over the hostels as it looks to be in a good location and the price is just a bit higher. It has proven the wisest decision for my trip to Foz do Iguazu!
- Location. I arrived around 1am at midnight. Rental cars were insanely expensive (a small car with manual tranny costs 400 reais for 2 days). Taxi was also expensive ($47 to the city) and didn't allow carpool! Then I found there was a direct bus line to this hotel and the bus came! Took me right to the hotel for 3 reais. The next day I found the hotel is right by TTU ("Terminal Transit Urbano"). There are direct bus lines to the waterfalls ("cataratas"), Itaipu dam ("Itaipu Binacional"), and the landmark for the boundary between the three countries. Just ask the staff at TTU!
- Facilities. The hotel is in downtown area. There is a travel agency inside the hotel building and the staff gave me free maps. There is a Brazilian BBQ buffet restaurant ("churrascaria") nearby that provides BBQ buffet by waiters walking around ("rozidio") for only 24 reais. Also there is a big shopping center ("Super Muffato") within walk distance, where you can get combo meals by weight and other groceries.
- People. This is a quite safe spot in the city. People around are either hotel staff, travelers, or "service providers". Didn't see any sketchy people.
Hotel was pleasant and very convenient. It was 1 km from airport and 1 km from Iguassu Falls National Park. Restaurant food was very good, staff was very nice as well. I chose to stay in a budget room and it was fine. Bed was comfortable, shower hot, towels clean. I would definitely stay there again if visiting the area.
