“Very nice”

The hotel lobby was decorated beautifully and really clean. The room was very clean as well as the hallways and elevator lobby. The staff was friendly and helpful. After a minor mix up at breakfast the manager gave us a breakfast voucher and we ate free!

“Gets the job done in style”

While this sounds nothing like a Holiday Inn Express, this hotel says "pizzaz' from the moment it comes into view. Bright and attractive signage, waterfall in the lobby, friendly staff and clean facilities. This hotel has an interesting arrangement for food & drinks; what might be considered the lobby doubles as a bar and restaurant. Similar to what I'm seeing at Hyatt Place hotels. My travelling companion was not impressed with the hotel food. The hotel is well kept and I get the sense that it is a little older than it looks. The rooms are clean and not cramped. The king size bed was comfortable, with four half-pillows, two with unusual removable belts that I didn't quite understand. Tempurature was well controlled; the room was a little cool (it was unusually cold weather for Texas) but notching the wall control up a little (a "boost" light illuminated) made the room comfortable. It made me think they spend more time cooling than heating the rooms. The bathroom was right-sized and had a nice shower head. The tempurature control on the faucet took a while to figure out. The biggest problem with this hotel was the surroundings. Notable businesses close at hand include Cracker Barrel, McDonalds and Liquorama. I ate at both Cracker Barrel and McDonalds and they were both terrible examples for their chains. This location is within 5 miles of Stockyards, which was deserted on the Tuesday night we visited. All told, I would stay at this location again.

Area recommendations

Next time I visit Ft Worth I will probably stay at the Hyatt Place at Stockyards. I little more expensive but right in the middle of one of Ft. Worth's notable tourist attractions.

“Impressed with cleanliness”

Stayed at this Holiday Inn when visiting relatives in Fort Worth. While the Holiday Inn is always a name you can trust, I was impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms and the hotel overall. It was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this location to anyone visiting the area. It was also right off the freeway with easy access on/off. The only thing that I was not impressed with was the waiter at the restaurant. Went to dinner there one night and while I understand he was new, he messed up my meal big time, gave me incorrect information on what was included with my meal and then the bill hit me - not the best. I would recommen they train their restaurant servers better before they let them loose. I would definitely stay at this hotel, but I would not have dinner there.

Area recommendations

I am not familiar with Fort Worth, my daughter lives there and while the hotel was very secure and nice she advised me not to wonder around the neighborhood at night by myself. However, it is located 6 miles from downtown and right by the freeway, very convenient.

“Great alternative to $$ hotels for Convention Center”

The hotel was exactly what we were looking for as far as a quality experience w/o a hefty price. It looks great - good design details, service was excellent. The king suite was a great size. The AM buffet was fairly standard. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. But it was quick, hot and ready when we needed to eat. The ride to the convention center was a breeze and parking was more than available at a garage across the street.

“Will never stay at any other brand of hotel!!!”

I've always been the type to bring sheets and pillows on my hotel stay, but this hotel was just as clean and comfortable as my home. The bedding was comfortable and not starchy like most hotels. The bed was extremely nice. The complimentary crib was wonderful since our 16 month old never sleeps with us. Our 10 year old daughter loved the indoor pool. Overall this was the best hotel I've ever stayed at and will more than likely never use another hotel again!

Area recommendations

I don't know much about Fort Worth but the area we stayed at which is North/Haltom City was perfect for what we wanted to do. It was situated nearby to everything we had planned, but still out of the way so traffic was never an issue.

Family-friendly activities

During our vacation, we went to Grapevine and road the Passenger train that takes you into the Stockyards at Fort Worth. It was an experience, but we probably won't be doing that again. The best thing was the Medieval Times Restuarant in North Dallas. It was 30 minutes away from the hotel and SO AMAZING! It is worth every dollar. We also toured the BEP. This is the facility of one of only two places that print paper currency. The tour is free and it's really educational. We enjoyed that quite a bit. It's really amazing to see that much money all in one place and all about the beginning to end process.

“Very nice hotel”

This hotel is located in a great area of Ft. Worth. The hotel itself is very nice and the rooms are in immaculate condition. Also the front desk offers very friendly people( I'm not used to that I'm from Michigan) I would defiantly recommend to other travelers looking for a good clean hotel.
