“Room was nice and large”

Nice, clean hotel. Our room was huge. Plenty of room for two pack N Plays for our two year old and infant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in the Fort Washington area.

“Hilton Garden Inn Philadelphia/Fort Washington Review”

The hotel is nice. The rooms had fridge and WiFi. The buffet breakfast was not very good and we were there at 9am. All of the items were cold and the potatoes were not fresh. I wouldnt eat there again but i would stay there again.

“Nice hotel in pleasant neighbourhood”

Stayed four nights in September 2011. The hotel was easy to find from the highway exit in a quiet business district with some local amenities. The hotel was being upgraded I think because it had been flooded and it was slightly disappointing that the pool and fitness centre were both closed. (I was offered access to another fitness centre close by.) The room was very large, even by US standards, pleasantly decorated and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable; there was free Wi Fi and the TV had a reasonable number of channels. There was no noise from the free way or the local road and I wasn't disturbed by noise from the adjacent rooms. The staff were pleasant enough at reception and friendlier in the restaurant. The food was OK .

Shopping

The Mall at Willow Grove is good as is the King of Prussia Mall. Drive into Delaware to visit the Christiana Mall for tax free shopping.

“excellent”

After high water forced this Hilton to close for a while to clean up, they reopened the day before we arrived. The entire staff could not have been nicer and more friendly. They went out of their way to insure a comfortable stay while continued maintenence was going on. Our room was wonderful and our stay went very well. As I write this a week after our visit I see where once again high waters surround this Hilton. My heart goes out to the fine staff that has worked so hard during the terrible weather in the Philadelphia area.

“Reunion trip”

We were estatic about the Hilton Garden Inn. The room size was unbelievable along with the amenities. The breakfast buffet was great for the price. I would recommend this hotel to any and all that are staying in the area. This is a very quaint neighborhood convient to I 76. I will use this hotel anytime I am in the area.

“Smelled Like Smoke”

Paid more to stay in what I thought would be a better hotel. They assured me it was a non-smoking room, but it smelled like it had been a smoking room. Woke up with congestion and a headache... all the things I thought I would be avoiding. Could have saved money and had the same experience down the road.

“beautiful but noisy”

My room was beautiful. Clean and very comfortable. The hotel seemed very fancy compared to what I was expecting based on the price and some of the reviews on here. However, the walls are paper thin, and I could hear the TV from a nearby room so clearly I could understand the words that were being said. Unfortunately, my neighbor had TV on until about 4am so it made my stay pretty unconfortable. But the bed was very nice and comfortable, the room was big, with a desk and refrigerator, the bathroom was very nice, as was the lobby and breakfast area. The location is terrible because it is impossible to turn into the hotel coming from the turnpike, you have to do a U-turn. And leaving the hotel you cannot turn left but have to go right, which seems to force you on to one of two highways with nowhere to do a U-turn. I got stuck back on the highway, had to pay the toll, and go all the way to the next exit to turn around and pay the toll again. The lobby should at least warn you about that because I was there for an event and everyone else there told me they did they same thing!

Getting around

Be careful entering and leaving the hotel not to find yourself back on the toll-only turnpike. It is very difficult to not find yourself on the highway!

“So pleased!”

The Hilton Garden Inn was fantastic. Very nice and clean and a great price. The breakfast was good and the bar/lobby area was a great place to hang out.

Area recommendations

College City was a great area to find restaurants and visit museums!
