“Will stay here again”

We were pleasantly surprised!!!! This place was clean and had new beds. The staff was all very nice and helpful anytime i needed anything. We will stay here again when we visit town. Loved the prices for a nice place to stay...Pool was pretty good size also.

“Definately not within walking distance of any attractions”

It was satisfactory. The new beds were very comfortable if you like a firm mattress. The service was good. The continental breakfast was good. Very reasonable cost as long as you have a car to drive to the beaches, attractions or whatever. Nice swimming pool, The AC worked great.

Area recommendations
You have to go to Big Kahunas water park. It was fantastic. The lines were kinda long but, moved relatively quick. Don't waste your money on the Gulfarium. Way too expensive and not much to see. You can see all the animals in 10 minutes. Although the dolphin show was pretty good but, way too short. The track family recreation is another good place to go. Lots to do.
Getting there
We are from Oxford, Ms. We flew from Tunica Airport. Very reasonable prices and quick flight. It only took one hour to get there. Definately rent a car if you aren't driving there. We rented from EZ Rental in Fort Walton. They were very reasonable with good service. Most of the other rental casr places didn't have any cars available. Best to book in advance.
Dining
Joe's Crab Shack was great. Good food, people and entertainment.

“nice but not beachfront”

The hotel was nice and clean but needed a few renovations to update the hotel. Pool was unclean for the most of our stay. The continental breakfast was great and I cannot complain about it. I would reccomend this hotel for a short distance to the beach but I would not reccomend going swimming in the pool.

“okay hotel”

The hotel was ok nothing to awe about room was suppose to be a non smoking room but smelled like an ash tray other than that hotel in awesome location newly remodeled and brand new serta mattreses comfortable. Great hotel and great price for the middle class people that dnt want to spend alot of money. 9 minutes from Destin harbor walk and beaches and Destin commons mall.

“honest guys in 2011”

i live in alabama needed to get away 4 the weekend july 14 2011 so made 3 day reservation through expedia had duty call had to cancel the hotel manager was very understanding an helpful with the whole cancellation they did not charge me a dime treated me like a neighbor still going to need that weekend ill be at the days inn fort walton dd

“Horrible, Do not stay here!”

“Ft Walton Worse Hotel”

the faucet in the bathroom was falling off, the window curtain was also falling off. the carpet was dirty and filthy. I will never stay at another Days Inn

“I expected more for this amount of money”

At the price we paid for this hotel, I expected more. The rooms were not clean, the linen had holes in it and the bathtub was filthy. I would expect this kind of service from a much cheaper hotel, but not from Days Inn. We also had problems with the television. It came on when it wanted to. In addition to this, the towels really needed some fabric softner. They felt like sandpaper against our skin.

“Love the renovations”

I've stayed at Days Inn three times over the past 7 years. It's always been convenient to Destin and my friends. But this time was a WOW b/c of the renovations...pleasing to the eye and comfortable as well.

“Not flattering at all”

We could smell cigarette smoke before we even got the door open. Every surface and material was saturated with the stench. We tried to circulate the air and left the door open for a while to air the room out, but it was to no avail. There was a hole in the wall by the front door. There was also hair all over the shower walls, so I hate to think of how unclean the rest of the bathroom was if inspected.
