“Good place to stay if you don't mind older property & noise.”

I booked Lani Kai Bayside, looking for an economical place to stay. Bayside was pretty seedy, but when I went to gulfside to check in, they had moved me to gulfside since they saw I was a woman travelling alone. Very kind of them to give me the same rate, as gulfside was much higher. The room was large, with 2 double beds and a sitting/kitchen area with sofa sleeper and balcony. View was total gulf frontage and wonderful. I was there on business during the day, but alone at night, so I went to the rooftop lounge for happy hour. Wonderful covered porch swing type tables at the rail looking over the gulf and sunset with discount drinks and great appetizers. Best crab cakes I've ever had. Interesting mix of people, some families, and pretty friendly. Great waitstaff and front desk people. If you don't mind older property (not renovated) and noise from the bars at night, it's a great value for the money, given the size of the room, and the mini-fridge, sink, microwave. I would stay there again. Wifi is spotty, depending on your room. Mine was usually OK. Can also get Wifi in the lobby.

This hotel was great, the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back, when we walked thru the covered ground floor entrance-wow! the sand was right there!! Great bands, great beach party, Great food!!

“Large, cheap, friendly, view but FILTHY.”

Great large unit with kitchenette for an incredible price. The simple view of the canals was actually pretty nice too, great balcony view. BUT the place was filthy. To their credit they were very apologetic and kept showing up to fix/clean things for me, but eventually I had to put towels all over the carpet so my feet would not get black from the dirt. They said they were going to lift the carpet and tile the floor. Hope so.

“Clean convenient hotel near everything”

After reading reviews of this hotel prior to our visit, we were somewhat concerned, but upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. for the price and location we were not expecting a 5 star hotel. It is clean and convenient, and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. It is an older hotel/motel on the Gulf, so the rooms have taken wear and tear, but overall condition was fair. New paint, clean beds and bathrooms, good off-street parking, and close to everything.

“Bayside Is HORRIBLE!!”

Originally booked at the Lani Kai Bayside resort, last minute thing. No indication that it was going to be a smoking room, but it was, and it smelled....HORRIBLE. The overall condition was absolute crap. Dirty carpet, kitchen, bedroom. I would not have felt comfortable staying in that room, thankfully I called at about 2am to express my "feelings" and they moved me to the main hotel which was much better. I DO NOT recommend Lani Kai Bayside Motel, however the Lani Kai is not a bad place to stay.

“Unattractive facility in an attractive area”

We asked to be moved to cleaner room. After we moved to new room, siuation improved but hotel still in need of updates.Very loud music. Pool in the shade. Very. small lobby. Filled with loud guests.

“The shower had someone elses hair on the wall!!!”

I have stayed in many a cheap hotel. I don't believe in spending money on a hotel room, that all of your time inside, will be spent sleeping. HOWEVER, this place was DISGUSTING!!! Someone else’s hair was on the shower wall. The knob to turn on the water fell off!!! The towels were see through and smelled!!!! The space between the door and the door jam was so large that I knew when someone went outside to smoke!!! They trick you into thinking it is the Lani Kai. It is a dump across the street. By far the most disgusting hotel room I have ever had the displeasure of staying in

Nasty,dirty, I will never recommend this hotel not even to my worse enemy ,I will not go back even if I get paid .sorry but I have to speak my mind.
