“Good place to rest your head”
Staff courteous and willing to please. Convenient to sightsee Edison/Ford Estate, CVS pharmacy next door. Pool area restful. Restaurants and malls close by. would definitely return to this hotel.
“Customer Service Needs Improvement”
Overall the hotel was good, however upon check in the first night, the woman at the desk was very rude and difficult with everyone trying to check in. In the end the manager made things right, but I don't think that it represents Holiday Inn well to have employees like that working at the front desk. It is something that definitely sticks in the back of your mind when considering a Holiday Inn in the future.
“Not quite sure”
Depending on what you seek to do while you are in Ft. Myers this hotel is near the end of the "strip". As you go down the main drag, the stores and advertising turn from your TGI Fridays into your pawn shops, criminal attorneys and bonds men. The neighborhood seems questionable, however we experienced ZERO problems. The historic district and the Edison estate is in walking distance and quite literally around the corner. We did not have hot water for several days due to some renovations / plumbing issue. The hotel was quite helpful and did the best they could and we were given some credit as a result of the same. The hotel was nice inside, the pool was a bit small. There is a new Dunkin Donuts, DIRECTLY in front of the hotel so that was nice. Over all the neighborhood seems a little questionable but they had security there at night and we had no issues what so ever.

no complaints.no worries and super friendly and helpful staff...rooms were very clean,beds(had 2 queens) were great,located around the corner from everything..would stay here again and can offer only positive remarks on all the details including price!!!!
“I was very pleasantly surprised”
My stay at Holiday Inn Fort Myers Downtown was very pleasant. I found the hotel to be very clean, seemed to have been renovated with a very nice restaurant and very professional staff. We were down in Fort Myers for a very serious family matter to deal with and found the hotel to be a nice break from the matter at hand, very convenient from the downtown area and it provided us with the comfort we needed at the end of the day. Thank you to the staff who made our stay flawless.

While hotel was not in a great area of town, it was perfect walking distance to City of Palms Park for Red Sox spring training games; easy driving distance to friendly minor league traing parks. I had reserved and confirmed a room with 2 beds; yet had to go through manager to get 2 beds (receptionist said "not available"----- hotel was less than half full
