“Fine for a weekend getaway”
This is a small, cozy boutique hotel near restaurants and the beach. The common areas in the middle of the second floor include a small community room, pool, jacuzzi, some picnic tables and lounge chairs. The price is reasonable and has large, very nice rooms, but don't expect a great view. Ours was facing the street across a parking lot. The rooms are on the second and third floors, above the lobby, cafe and at the time empty commercial space. It is across the street from a restaurant that has live music - but amazingly the loud noise can only be heard intermittently from the street side. However, on the door/open hallway side (ours had one room on this side) you can hear everything - especially people partying by the pool. Unfortunately there was some sort of a reunion of the hard-drinking, chain-smoking, tattooed families at the time we were there who decided to take over the outdoor chairs until late at night. They left boxes of their portable bar (with liquor) around the lounge chairs all day and management let them. I wouldn't let my kids walk around by themselves; the weekend we were there it had a feel of a college dorm. Also, the small pool is for everyone including babies in diapers (there was no sign otherwise). Yes, there was a baby in diaper when we were there (where do you think the contents of said diaper goes?). This hotel is fine for a weekend getaway but it is small and depending on the clientele at the time you're there, you can't get too far from them.
