“Nice inn for the money!”

We stayed at the dolphin inn for about two weeks in late May 2011. Travis is a wonderful owner/host. He is SO friendly, helpful and accommodating. He knows how to be hospitable. He was there when you needed him! He always treated his guests like responsible adults-trusted us to treat his place like our own. The hotel offered the use of kayaks and bikes for guests--WAS super!!!! The pool was outstanding-with plenty of pool toys/floaties. A nice clientele of guests stayed at the Inn while we were there. It made for a wonderful visit. We will definitely return next spring. In the room, there was a new flat screen TV with HBO channels. There were always clean towels for the pool use and bathroom. I'd recommend that the existing kitchen pots & pans be replaced with newer ones. We had a full-size refrig. and microwave. We got a great rate for our room WITHOUT any extra fees added at the end of our stay. Wish we had reserved for a longer time. We spoke to other guests and they were repeat customers. We left with great memories.........Travis was right---"Just another day in paradise". THANK YOU Travis and staff for a great holiday!!!!!!

“Will definately stay again”

Hotel was very cozy, nice view of bay in the back, availability to bring boat if you had one, and since i was staying over 4 days long, owner said dont' worry about cost of boat slip, very friendly, i arrive late, he made sure to stop by to see if there was anything i needed, and recommended a place to eat that was very nice and affordable. will definately stay there again if i go back to the area.

I stayed overnight in the smaller room which was an efficiency. (Stove, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils, etc.) The hospitality of the staff couldn't have been better. This is not a fancy place, but very clean and quiet. It is not close to the craziness of the large hotels (which is nice) but offers all the comforts one would need. For the price - you can't beat it!

We were pleasantly surprised about the Dolphin Inn. The rooms were nice, the view was great, the owners were friendly and helpful. We will stay there again the next time we go to Fort Myers Beach.

“Very Nice”

I would stay here again. The only problem that I saw was that there are steps going into all the rooms which would make it difficult for people with walkers or wheelchairs.

“Wow. Relaxing. Affordable....More”

What a nice place to stay. We booked for 3 nights and wound up staying 7 nights. We upgraded from a small efficiency (for the lower budget) to a 3 room, pool side suite. Both were nice. Amenities the owner provided were endless. Need a chair, umbrella, & sand toys for the beach? A boat to rent for the day? Pool toys. Videos. Full size freezer for the big catch. They had all of the above. The owner is super friendly and willing to make your stay the best he can. We will return!

“The Beach's Best Bet”

Our stay there was great.....Old Florida type accomodations....slightly worn furnishings,lived in, clean,no smell in the room....cute kitchen, full refridg, A/C was cold....owners were friendly and helpful. We had a room poolside, and to our surprise, not noisy. Pool was very clean and 'round the back was the Bay with a dock and lounge chairs and tables...beautiful. Our bed was a bit too soft for us, but no matter.......Restaurants around are a bit pricey for what you get....Yo' Yo' Taco...forget it. Tasteless. One night we ate at Nervous Nellie's.........the menu is huge, and the prices are steep....I wanted a nice fish meal and ordered the snapper with crab stuffing......my husband got an oyster basket w fries, we had no appetizers, nothing extra....we had a beer and an iced tea, and our bill was $ 47. Not worth it.. not the food or the service. We will never go there again, a bad choice. Our best meal was the fresh fish we bought on Pine Island and took to our hotel and put on the 'barbie. We will go back to Dolphin Inn anytime......loved it!

“Fantastic stay!”

My husband and I went to the Dolphin Inn for a small getaway. We absolutely loved the owners, who were more than informative as to the surrounding area. The hotel also had great perks. The rooms were large and the bed was more than comfortable. We loved being able to kayak with the available on site kayaks. Also available were beach chairs, coolers, movies, really anything you could think of. It was such a great stay we had to stay an extra day. We loved it and plan on going back next year!

“If you’re going to Fort Myers Beach this is the BEST PLACE TO STAY!”

It’s not very often you come across a value like the Dolphin Inn Resort! Extremely good customer service by a family owned business that really cares about you having fun and enjoying yourself! Very clean, has everything you’ll need for a great stay! Close to everything you may need! The beach is huge and beautiful, a really nice stretch all yours! Bring your boat; they have their own pier as well. We cannot recommend this place highly enough, and I’m a critic; which says a lot! As if this location didn’t already have enough it’s also a great location for visiting the Everglades for a day; and the owner will show you some great places to check out off the beaten path. Also be sure to check out Sanibel Island, known for excellent sea shell collecting, the best place I’ve ever seen as far as the number and variety of sea shells. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Did I mention this entire area is just BEAITUFUL! Go, have fun and enjoy life without spending a fortune.
