Very nice stay - the host was exceptionally friendly and it is a peaceful place - great location and the room was exactly what we were looking for. Nice mini-lake with lots of nature behind the property. Would highly recommend this place!

Old Florida Gem
I enjoyed my stay. I was only there one night on business, but it was nice and relaxing. It has a great old Florida feel, shaded and relaxed. Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. Yes, I guess you could say it was "dated" as some reviews said, but my room was clean, inviting, and more than functional. Nice pool area also. If you're looking for the Ritz, go elsewhere, but if you're looking for affordable, clean, and comfortable lodging this is a great choice in Sanibel. Thanks for the hospitality.

From the minutei walked into the lobby , Michael was there waiting and knew who i was (by name) . Very pleasant! Our room was #16 , very clean and so quite there. the pool was right in front. We try enjoyed our qick stay. Definitely will go again and stay 2 night. Location was perfect too! Small market place like 4 min walk. Tipsy turtle is right next door too!

It’s cute quite spot perfect for us. Walking distance to dinning. The manager on property was so nice and friendly. Great place to stay if you have a pet as well

Cute little old fashion beachy vibe room. Super clean with a very roomy shower. Small kitchenette was adequate in size and stocked with coffee maker, microwave, stove, refrigerator, and toaster. Bed too hard for my liking (I did not sleep at all while there) but my husband had no issues with it. Close drive to beaches which is why we were there. Small market within walking distance for ice, drinks, sandwiches, salads and other items. Would book property again.

The only real knock on the property was that both mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. They seemed to be well woren as you would roll into the middle of the bed. We tried both beds and got the same result. This was in unit #20. Aside from that this was a great place to stay, very quiet and the grounds were well kept! Cottage was cute....

This was my 3rd stay at Anchor Inn and as always it was top notch! The location of the property, the staff, the cost, the facilities, and amenities are absolutely wonderful. The bed was so comfortable the my fiancee and I are going to purchase one for our home! Plus they are amazingly pet friendly. I would recommend to any and all to stay here.

It had a lake behind it and we had an end room with a walkway, very quiet. the managers were excellent and so helpful and friendly. highly recommend this facility.

The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. I had 2 dogs. Most places tolerate dogs; the wonderful staff here welcome them. Everyone was so accommodating, warm and kind. I cannot recommend highly enough

Such a fun stay here! Free bikes, just had to get there early! Shuffleboard, corn hole, horseshoes, and a little gator named Oscar. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Cute, Clean and Perfect Stay
This place is so nice! We stayed in A frame cottage. Slept 4 comfortable. Clean, Quiet and grounds were well kept and beautiful. Walking distance to local grocery, awesome restaurant/bar next door. Perfect trip! Will stay again next time.

Nice but long in the tooth.
This hotel/motel came about in the 80s. It is quaint, close to the causeway, close to several restaurants and bars, and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. However, the interiors need a major freshening.

Quaint and Great
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anchor Inn. It was our first time in the area and we made the reservation last minute to visit a relative who was also visiting. They welcomed our hyper little dog with us and the location was great for bike riding, nearby beach access, and walking distance to a couple great restaurants. The folks running the place we're friendly and accommodating. They're upgrading and up keeping an older facility but we like that quaint cottage feel and Anchor Inn provided that in abundance.

Relaxing and friendly resort
The room was spacious and clean. The grounds are beautiful with the flowers, wildlife and clean swimming pool. The owners are friendly and welcoming.

We liked our cottage. Very clean, cute, and cozy. We liked that it was mostly guests our age, the pool was wonderful and a great place to get to know other guests. What we didnt like is that it is on the main road of the island so very busy at all times.

Lovely relaxing property
Lovely property if you don't want the typical condo or hotel. Our cottage had everything we needed. Could use more kitchen utensils (5 forks for 6 people) and the beds weren't the most comfy. But we would definitely stay again just because the property is so relaxing and the innkeepers were terrific!

PROCEED WITH CAUTION
We booked and paid for our stay through Hotels.com. Upon arrival, the property charged us, again, without telling us. We didn't discover the duplicate charge until we returned home to review our credit card statement. I have been trying to resolve the issue with them but, two weeks after my first attempt, I still have not received my refund. I have involved Hotels.com, Expedia, and my cc company in an attempt to resolve this issue. Whenever I call the property, I get the answering machine or someone telling me that the person I need to speak to is not in today. I'm on my 5th call to them trying to resolve the issue (not to mention another five or six calls to Hotels.com/Expedia) but the property has yet to refund the duplicate charge. When I did manage to get through to the woman I spoke to originally about the issue, she claimed that this was the first she was hearing of it. Odd, since I wrote down her name when I spoke to her the first time. The property itself was okay but in need of updating. We knew that prior to arrival after reading the reviews. So, we weren't expecting to be amazed but we were fine with that. We had a leaky toilet and it appeared as if they had made some attempts at fixing it (incorrectly) with caulk. We did report it but had to clean up the wet floor and wear shoes into the bathroom. Otherwise, the room was acceptable, just not great. Bikes were free but older with bent baskets and some of the tires were in need of air. Pool appeared clean and nice.
