“What a nice place to stay”

What a nice hotel - the staff is very friendly and kind, and was willing to go out of their way to take care of our small group. Easy to get to, and much cheaper than the Charlotte area. Good restaurants nearby, too.

“Great place for affordable price”

The Hotel was very nice and clean.It has resteraunts that are within walking distance and the view is very pleasing to the eye. Our room was on the 10th floor and we were able to watch the roller coasters from Carowinds which is right across the street. We had a nice view of the Charlotte sky line as well.The staff was very polite hallways and elevators were well kept and clean.It is also convieniently located to several shopping centers.I would not only reccomend the Plaza to other people when we return to the area we plan to stay at the plaza again.It is a great place to stay for a great price.

“Really great hotel”

I recently stayed here for the second time while on a business trip to Charlotte, NC and I was very pleasantly surprised with the tremendous improvement it gotten since my previous trip in October 2005. Now I can truly say it is virtually faultless and at the price, a great value. Even though I was early for check-in still my room was ready and the check in counter was quick and efficient. I was immediately given the keys which allowed me to use the hotel facilities. Overall, it is pretty, very clean and well-kept. I was greeted by hotel staff and they were very professional and helpful to find local information I needed. They went extra distance to help me. The interiors of this hotel are very cool, and its lobby was very pretty and spacious. Large and well planned rooms with amenities galore including cable TV, CD player, wireless Internet access, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. LOTS of STORAGE space!!! Bathroom was clean and tidy, BEST hotel shower ever with GREAT water pressure!!! Hotels Gold Rusher restaurant served EXCELLENT food , definitely worth the value and the Coasters Lounge and Bar is cosy, but not expensive. Breakfast was first class and had a good range and ideal for a long day of work. Finally, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Carowinds or Charlotte area.

“Hotel was better than I expected”

Carowins Plaza Hotel was better than I expected.Staff was pleasant and rooms were clean and neat.Continental breakfast was fresh and good.I will use it again when I visit Charlotte again.

“Clean and inexpensive”

Plaza Hotel is conveniently located if you plan to spend the day at Carowinds...it's right across the street. The front desk staff is very friendly and are willing to accommodate your every need. The beds were extremely comfortable, especially after spending a tiresome day at Carowinds. Pool is nice, but my son claimed the chlorine was strong in the water. The outside of the hotel looks a bit old and dated (wasn't too sure about it when we first drove up), but the rooms are clean and have been renovated. For the price I paid, I was extremely satisfied. Great place to stay if you want a place to crash for the night.

“great place to stay”

We really enjoyed our stay at the Plaza Hotel. Unfortunately our itinerary only allowed us to stay one night. Between the pool, the gameroom and tennis courts, the kids had plenty to keep them happily occupied. The food was good. And, the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to stay. We'll definetely stay here again.

“Great Stay near Charlotte”

This was the best stay I have had in this area of Charlotte. Hotel lobby is impressive and room was great. Best of all the service was exceptional. While there, I saw a baseball group in the breakfast area and they seemed pretty pleased as well. I would definitely stay here again.

“Would Go Back”

My stay was a good one. I was very saticefied with everything except for the fact that to access the vending machines I had to go down to the lobby (my room was on the 10th floor). This is the only complaint I can say anything about. The staff was very courteous and the hotel was very nice and peaceful. I would definately go back.

The room was perfect to sleep in, very clean and comfortable...but dining wise, i wasn't satisfied.

“breakfast not so hot :(”

the motel was nice, clean and friendly but the continental breakfast was sad, very sad. my family and i travel often and stay mostly at motels with a breakfast and this one would be better off not serving anything because the last thing you remember before you leave is the bad taste in your mouth.
