“Great little Jewel of a Hotel for the value!”
Hotel was easy to find. Room and bathroom were super clean. Bed was nice and comfy. Staff was courteous and professional, they were eager to please. Breakfast was good. We stayed here in their "off season' but the service was spot on! We are already planning a return trip to the area and will most definitely be back!
“Definitely Would Stay Again”
Wonderful hotel! The front desk clerk was friendly, very pleasant to talk to...The room was very clean, roomy and the bed was sooo comfortable! We checked in early in the afternoon and used the outdoor pool which was beautiful and attractively landscaped. We went to Carowinds before checking in and made the comment that we should have just come and stayed at the hotel and skipped the amusement park!
“Nice hotel, tucked away”
I stayed at this hotel because I was going to Carowinds for the weekend. It is almost directly across from Carowinds, but still kinda tucked away so you don't get all the traffic noise. I really enjoyed my stay, we had a king size bed in a room on the 3rd (top) floor. The room was clean, the bed was really comfortable. The room was a little on the warm side though, we had to crank the A/C all day while we were gone in hopes that it would cool down by the evening and it was still a little warm. The pool was clean and since there weren't a lot of people booked until later that night, we got the pool to ourselves for a while. The staff was friendly and the check in/out process was very fast. I slept a little late for the breakfast, so I don't know how that was. My only real complaint is that someone hit my car in the parking lot and left without any note or anything. Not the hotel's fault, but it kind of soured the experience. Neither the police nor the hotel could do anything because the camera on that side of the parking lot shot over my car. The first 4 or 5 parking spaces were in a blind spot, which I thought was kind of an oversight. So don't park in the first few spaces by the front door, just in case. Overall, we had a great weekend at Carowinds and nice relaxing stay at this hotel.
“Noisy and overpaid”
We stayed on the second floor. The guests above us kept running across their floor at 4am (sounded like jumping). The guests next to us took a shower at 4am. The room was nice, but noisy. The volume on the TV was horrible. This hotel does not have 2 queen beds in a room which is what we booked. We could have gotten a lot better deal at the front desk. We booked through expedia since it was Easter weekend. We thought it might be hard to get a room. Nice breakfast included-- cereal, fruit, danishes, waffles, juice, milk, coffee.
