“Nice hotel, mediocre buffet.”

Hotel is nice, a bit dated on amenities. If you need ice forget the ice machine. You have to call to have some delivered. The pool is very nice, large beach area as well. Breakfast buffet is small and very pricey! Gratuity added. Into everything!

“Awesome!!!”

An awesome hotel with great service. Loved my massage although it was quite expensive ($141 for 50 minutes). Food was great especially the buffet breakfast. Can't really find a fault...

Went to Bubba Gump Shrimp in Ft Lauderdale for dinner one night. Fantastic meal with excellent service and atmosphere.

“Lago Mar 3 star at best”

Shower clogged on check in, two of four lights didn't work, tv changed changed channel automatically. Food below average.

“Great place to stay”

This is the second year we have stayed at Lago Mar. Last year we were given an upgrade with a full kitchen. While it was very nice, we really liked our accomodations this year. It still had a sink ,refrigerator and microwave, but was a little cozier and had a view of the ocean rather than the pool, which I prefer. The bathroom was large and beautiful. We love this hotel. They are very gracious and accomodating. Would most certainly go back again.

“Luxurious”

Stayed at this very nice resort hotel the day before our cruise on Allure of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship. The hotel was very convenient to the airport and the cruise terminal; we could see the ship from our hotel balcony. The hotel had a nice on-site restaurant with very good food and excellent service. There was a 'lagoon' pool and another pool, which we didn't try. There was a live musician on the lagoon's island doing a performance--very nice. The resort was also located on a beautiful beach. We walked along the beach/boardwalk quite a bit north of the hotel to the 'strip' and took a taxi partway back to the hotel. The hotel restaurant had a striking trellised outdoor seating area, intertwined with grapevine, where we had lunch, but there were a lot of ants crawling about (on us, at times!), so we had dinner indoors. Would stay here again and highly recommend Lago Mar.

“Perfect choice for cruise passengers.”

Chose LagoMar for it's proximity to the cruise terminal, but really enjoyed it for itself. Beautiful lobby, great pool, beach was right there. Had drinks and dinner with relatives in the hotel and enjoyed both, although a tad pricey. Would definitely go back for a vacation.

“Bit Dated”

On arrival we asked to see King room that we hadoriginally booked. Glad we did as dark and very small bathroom and outlook was over car park at front of hotel. Asked to see suite in main building and after seeing that upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Wished we had booked suite through Expedia as sure we would have got better rate. We did however have lovely view from balcony towards ocean and lots more space in bathroom with more modern facilities so we felt it was money well spent. All in all nothing really to complain about. Excellent location right on beach, housekeeping were excellent too. A little dated but clean. Just too many children for us.

Area recommendations

I would recommend area that Lago Mar was as that is the reason we chose it. We did not want to stay on the busy strip with main road between hotel and the ocean.
