We should have been notified that beach access was closed due to giant concert the day before. We had to walk for blocks to get onto the beach.

The staff at this Best Western were wonderful. It was an easy walk to the beach. Lots of dining options within a mile. They have a small bar and grill on site as well. The outside of the building looks a little worn, but the staff and convenience more than made up for it. The pool was refreshing and the area around the pool was landscaped with waterfalls and a sun deck. The rooms were very clean and the lobby area was well-maintained, nicely decorated, and kept neat/clean, considering the close proximity to the beach. 10 out of 10 and would stay there again.

On our second day, the front desk employee locked us out of our room. He was informing my husband that our key cards were not working cause were supposed to check out. My spouse called and asked me to come downstairs. (i was waiting in front of our hotel door). He asked my husband to sign a paper without explaining what it was. So my husband said to wait until I arrived, but the GUY responded, "I DONT HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR THIS" and threw our paper to her coworker. When I arrived, he just said, "Sign this. I only need your sign." He sounded really harsh. Then he said that Expedia has not confirmed the adjustment of our stay. He said it was expedia's fault, and he FIXED it himself (suddenly). I called Expedia, and they stated it was unlikely to be their fault because both days had been verified and my card had been charged for two nights 2 weeks ago. The guy at the front desk is just pointing fingers after locking us out of the room and failing to confirm our reservation first. UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE.

We had a very pleasant stay at Best Western Plus Oceanside Inn. The staff was very friendly and a shout out to Elena at the front desk who was very accommodating. The location is very good; steps to the beach yet is away from the crowds. Las Olas beach and its restaurants are a short walk. We stayed 4 nights but there were others who were there for a nights stay on their way to boarding a cruise. The hotel had a very nice breakfast with a lot of variety. A definite plus. Will surely stay here again when next in Fort Lauderdale.

The property is old, tired and musty smelling. Needs a total facelift. You can't clean enough to cover the age and deterioration. Staff was pleasant and helpful and our stay was quiet and uneventful. We probably workshop stay here again just due to the age and condition of the hotel. For the money it wasn't good value

The breakfast was nice, kids enjoyed the pool, and we loved how easy it was to get to the ocean. Staff allowed us to check our bags when we arrived early so we could visit the beach and got us into the room a little early. We had a nice meal in the lobby while we waited, too. We could hear almost everything our neighbors said the first night—not sure if they’re just especially loud people or if the walls are too thin. The beds and pillows are much softer than my preference, too. We would probably stay here again. It was very convenient for a couple nights following a cruise, and the kids had a great time.

It was in a more quiet area of the beach, but still close to everything. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and the balcony was nice.

The property is convenient to Ft. Lauderdale beaches, restaurants, etc. Our room was clean and quiet, but needed painting and renovation. The included breakfasts were the same as most other brands. The common rooms, pool and sundeck were quite nice.

So, this is an older property and a bit worn. But, nice location, real pleasant and helpful staff, free parking, not direct but easy access to the beach. A lot of decent places to eat a short walk North (?) up the road. There is a Publix a short drive South, and a bit further South there is a Whole Foods. I would stay again.
