“Friendly low key hotel”

A smaller hotel in comparison with some others locally, and not as upmarket. Hotel is a little older, and looks a bit dated, but is still comfortable - large room, and everything worked fine. Small pool and patio area gets the best of the sun, or the beach is only a 3 minute walk away. Breakfast was simple but ok. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Other hotels offer more (more modern, beach views, upscale restaurants), but you pay more. Overall, this hotel has everything you need for a relaxing break at a reasonable price.

Area recommendations

Recommend Las Olas Boulevard for restaurants and cafes.

“Met our needs.”

We only needed the hotel for one night as we were embarking on a cruise the next day. Even though the hotel is part of the Best Western chain, this one does not offer airport transportation nor to Port Everglades. (FYI--order a cab, it's cheaper than the shuttle they can call for you.) The attendant at the breakfast buffet took extreme pride in his job and made every guest feel welcome and the food was plentiful as well. Evening dining in the hotel was not as nice though (microwaved sandwiches and nachos) but after 8 hours in airports and airplanes, all we wanted was to stay in one place. We were given a room in the center court (the pool was right outside our door). For what we needed, the hotel did its job but I would have preferred a hotel with complementary transportation for less worry.

“We are planning to return next year.”

The continental breakfast was great. Frank the breakfast attendant was fabulous. He was very friendly and personable. He showed us places of interest on a map of the area and directed us to shopping. The motel is not oceanfront but very close to the beach.

Area recommendations

This area was absolutely great for my friends and myself. We wanted beach access and sunbathing. Shopping and nightlife. We visited the shops on the ocean strip and dined at Bubba Gumps and other restaurants.

“I would definitely go back!”

I came across this hotel while searching for one close to the airport (I didn't rent a car), close to the beach (100 yards away) and that had good reviews - this hotel exceeded my expectations. By chance I received a "Sundeck" room, which is on the second floor and it has chairs and tables right outside your room. It also has stairs that lead down to the pool, which is very clean. The room has everything you need, a microwave, a safe, a refrigerator, hair dryer, toothpaste, etc. The beds are VERY comfortable, with THREE very soft down pillows. This hotel is everything you want!!! I would recommend anyone going to Ft. Lauderdale to stay at the Best Western Oceanside Inn!!!!

When to go

The last two weeks in October - it's not crowded and the weather is absolutely beautiful!

“NICE HOTEL PLEASANT STAY”

WE HAVE STAYED IN THIS HOTEL SEVERAL TIMES AND ALWAYS ENJOY IT. IT IS VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH, COMFORTABLE AND THE BREAKFAST IS VERY GOOD.

“HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE”

The hotel is infected with BED BUGS and the management did not care and shoul be honest with us when we arrived at the hotel, we noticed the BED BUGS as we were leaving the hotel when we saw the TERMINATOR guy going thru the elevators and as we show the bites to the front desk staff, they totally denied it. When we asked to see the manager they told us the manager was not available and we could call her the following day. We complain to the corporate office and until now whe have not received any response.I will never stay at another BEST WESTERN CHAIN.
