“Very enjoyable break”

All in all we had a very good stay. It's not cheap, but the facilities, and standard of service, make it worth paying that bit extra.Staff are friendly and attentive. One of our party has limited mobility and the hotel was excellent at accomodating her needs.Food and service in the restauarant are excellent apart from one hiccup on the last day.An excellent venue for that special treat.

“When you need to feel great....check in to Ashdown park hotel”

We celebrated our wedding at this hotel and went back 12 months later to re-live the day for our anniversary. The hotel staff were attentive but not intrusive and generally very kind. Ashdown park is very special and we love the area too. It is the perfect place to recharge exhausted batteries. After a long weekend, my husband and I were invigorated in mind body and spirit..... Ashdown park is good for your soul! We plan to go back every year to celebrate the anniversaries that are still to come.

Excellent hotel. Huge intetesting manor house in beautiful grounds with lake. Restaraunt is also excellent, but make sure you book in advance. Not cheap, but you can relax and enjoy an excellent stay.

“Perfect place for a UK mini break away with your other half”

I booked a few days away for my (soon to return to school) Teacher partner. I was aware it was not cheap and worried we may be let down. However, we had exactly the relaxing and enjoyable stay we intended. It is a bit sprawling and not 100% modern. However, the initial impression is 'Wow! What a wonderful place to be'. It is beautiful and tranquil with deer in the grounds and carp in the lake. Staff were excellent, a very 'can do' attitude. I felt that the staff were aware of the limitations of the hotel (i.e not modern or 'purpose built'). My partner had the 'Stones' massage at the Country Club and returned 'floating on air'. The pool is not large but tranquil and relaxing. However, like the small gym, it is adequate for it's purpose (no rowing machines!) and well maintained. Spent the rest of the day walking the grounds and exploring the Hotel (and the wonderful Church). The meal in the restaurant (we had a 3 course for 2 offer) was exceptional quality and so was the service. The staff were just right, not snooty or over-familiar. Mix of nationalities, but all trained to an appropriate 'international' standard. The meal (and the wine.... ouch) was not cheap, but, this was a deliberate luxury trip, value for money. PS: Not a Golfer myself, but if you are, your enjoyment will be significantly enhanced. Summary: If you fancy a few days away in luxury with wonderful accommodation and surroundings, I would recommend Ashdown Park. PPS: check for discounts on the Web.

“Would happily visit again”

It was everything we hoped for and more. We were upgraded to a park view and having snow on the ground, deer in the park, whilst easily accessing roads made the experience even better. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food excellent.

“Great weekend getaway.”

Beautiful location and grounds. Plenty of character. Relaxing. Quite But clearly aimed at business guests and that spoils things a bit.

“Lovely reception rooms, bedroom somewhat dated”

This is a fabulous building in glorious surroundings. The reception rooms were delightful (we attended a wedding and it was a perfect setting, indoors and out). Whilst our bedroom was perfectly clean and functional, for the price (this isn't a cheap hotel) I would have expected far better. It was simply old and dated and rather let down the rest of the hotel.
