Modern hotel built for short stay business or tourism one km from Chateau and Town Centre but eminently walkable since only Breakfast and Bar Snacks served in the hotel itself. Good size and well appointed rooms with free Wifi which works! Functional and without frills or pretensions.
We arrived early and were give our room and parking space immediately thus giving us a nice long day at the chateau which was the reason for our stay. The hotel is really close to the chateau, its public areas are attractive the whole place is very clean and there is a small outside private terrace with loungers. The staff are very helpful. The only reasons for the two fours rather than all fives were the lift broke down during our stay which was Ok for us as we had small bags and do not mind the stairs but may have concerned some people and as often with Ibis the room was smallish but not tiny or uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel excellent value for money.
A basic hotel with friendly staff good food we stayed in the New annex the hotel is currently being renovated guest staying in the original building seemed happy reasonable accommodation for the price paid.(Clean and functional)
Decent hotel with good and friendly service. A bit overpriced for what it was. Worst point was total lack of soundproofing of rooms so you could hear every word spoken By people passing in corridor. Given the price, I'd only recommend it if nothing else comparable were available in the area.
Boasting a charming and picturesque location in Barbizon, Hotel les Pléiades offers discerning visitors 4-star accommodation …More
We were taken aback. The grounds from the car park to the hotel were neglected. In our "annex"wing room, the toilet roll sat on the floor - a broken holder, drains were blocked, an unsealed gap in the shower, between tiles and floor was disconcerting, and half a drawer bottom in an antique bedside table was a surprising. The receptionist hadn't checked on-line bookings and was not expecting guests.
This hotel is in a lovely location, the breakfast and dining rooms overlook the river and weeping willows where Sisley and Monet sat to paint. The room was comfortable, but up two flights of stairs, a problem with two heavy suitcases, and there was mould in the shower recess. We were served an excellent evening meal, and were therefore very disappointed with the breakfast - the only cereal was Cocopops, no muesli or other cereal, and the cheeses were two varieties of pre-wrapped single portions.
