Beautiful place in a beautiful location

Posted 12-Sep-2014
Pros: Lives up to the name tranquility, resort was very quiet.
Cons: Could offer a breakfast but there are loads of places nearby.
Location: Bahia Honda state park is one of my favorite places in the world. It's absolutely beautiful in a very natural way. Mile marker 37 over 7 mile bridge.
We ate in the butterfly cafe here 5 years ago and vowed to come back and stay in the resort. Wasn't disappointed. We had a garden room and it was huge. Very clean with a contemporary feel. The resort itself was very peaceful, kept very neat and tidy with lots of exotic plants and trees, the pools were lovely, at a perfect temperature to chill out in. The Butterfly cafe is amazing for food and the Tiki bar on the beach perfect to cool down at. The beach was great, not spoilt by sea grass at all. Would definitely return, couldn't fault our stay at all.

Great Experience

Posted 11-Sep-2014
It was a wonderful stay at the resort. The only downfall was the noise in the relaxation pool area. One guest had spanish music very loud from his own radio poolside with a group of people with him like it was his own house. It was very disrespectful. The problem is there was no resort staff around to monitor this although there were signs obviously this guest didn't follow. Otherwise the stay was wonderful clean very quiet room with a beachy feel. The jet skis were great and the resort staff were very pleasant.

Nice place but my room was small

Posted 08-Sep-2014
The beach's water was not flowing and smelled bad. They said I could rent a double kayak but they only had single kayaks. The room was small without any privacy and it did not have a closet. And they have a rule about no pets and whenever I wanted to get in there was a cat lying on my door.

A nice place to retreat to for a vacation

Posted 07-Sep-2014
Pros: Everything is well maintained and cared for - the unit we had was very comfortable.
Cons: Well, most of the cleaning staff are Hispanic and most don't speak much English - so we had a few communication issues, nothing serious.
Location: The community of Marathon is a small community, with just enough of the normal services around to meet day to day needs. Some nice restaurants.
The facilities are very nice, the grounds are lovely, the beach is ok, not great but acceptable (sea grass is a part of the normal ecosystem and varies in the seasons), the pools are great, its a nice place to retreat to, good for kids, quiet in the evenings, well cared for, very comfortable. Its one hour from Key West where there are some interesting things to see and do, and two and one half hours from Miami if you care to go there. If you just want to get away from it all for a bit, be in a comfortable relaxing spot this is likely going to meet your needs.

Florida Keys Escape!

Posted 05-Sep-2014
Location: We enjoyed our visits to local restaurants and the Turtle Hospital just down the road.
Tranquility Inn was our first stop exploring the Florida Keys on a rare "just the two of us" get away! We found the property to be beautiful with spacious accommodations and a lush tropical landscape. Surprisingly quiet and private as well. I would strongly suggest it for those in need of an escape from crowds and stress. We would definitely return.

Relaxing resort in the middle of the Keys

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Pros: Quiet and have a little beach, water sport rental area and 2 different size pool. The view is so beautiful.
Cons: maid service could be improve. If you must remove the used towels, than they should be replace and it should not be necessary to call the front desk.
Location: location is perfect, right in the middle of the keys.
Cozy and warm 3 bedroom condo. At the end of the day, we can't wait to get back to the resort to relax in this cozy condo.

A jewel in the Florida Keys

Posted 27-Aug-2014
We found Tranquility Bay by accident while looking for a couple of rooms for a Florida Keys trip. An ocean/beach view house with three bedrooms for less than the price of two hotel rooms, two very clean pools, a beach bar and a glorious sunset. We could not have asked for more.

Excellent location on the beach!

Posted 15-Aug-2014
Beautiful accommodations, grounds and pool! Water Sport rentals right on site ... everything you need to escape the world for a week! Key West is a 45-60 min. drive when you want to peek out into the world again. Theater of the Sea is a 45 min. drive North for a well deserved, once in a lifetime, Dolphin Encounter. We would definitely return!
