Beautiful grounds

Posted 16-Apr-2015
Pros: Overall experience of relaxation, quite, peace, beautiful location, etc.
Cons: Food at the restaurant was horrible! And customer service can improve.
We went to Miami/Key West for 10 nights and this place was by far the best experience on this trip. It's beautiful from the outside and the room we had was very relaxing! It was decorated with beachy/southern comfort feel. We had a balcony so it was nice to have breakfast outside. The hotel grounds is very nice too! It's spacious, quiet, ...overall very relaxing! We also booked the Southermost (not on the beach) on the second night becuase it was cheaper but we ended up staying here on the Beach location becuase it was so much nicer, even though it was a lot more expensive, totally worth it!

Great location!

Posted 10-Apr-2015
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: Pool was not that appealing but we still enjoyed it. The adult pool was quiet but drinks there would have been nice.
Location: Location top notch. Everything is close.
Hotel looked to be the best at the Keys! Nice to have the beach and the pier. Excellent restaurant - nice variety and decent prices. Bars were fantastic - excellent drinks. Bike rental (tandem) was the best. Only way to get around to see everything - a MUST. We stayed two nights and found that to be sufficient. Not much for kids to do.

Pleasant hotel in Key Wedt

Posted 03-Apr-2015
Wonderful weekend in Key West recently, with very comfortable, pleasant stay at the Southernmost on the Beach hotel. As convenient as it gets where beach is concerned in KW. Nice views, easy walk to the action on Duval Street, including the Hemingway House.

Nice pool , close to beach ,bars & Restaurants

Posted 29-Mar-2015
Pros: Location ,Near main strip
Cons: Shower pressure needs improvement - too light
Location: Located right on the beach
Weekend Fishing trip with the boys .Decided to stay at Southernmost because close proximity to beach and Duvall St .Very expensive, would probably choose a different hotel for next trip.

Very enjoyable and close enough to the action on Duval street but far enough to be away from it as well

Great hotel right on the beach

Posted 21-Mar-2015
Pros: Location, amenities, staff
Cons: More attention to timing and execution of scheduled events
Location: Off site, there was lots of "tourist" shopping (and bars), many nice restaurants - at a range of prices. Biking, a state park, water sports
The rooms were quite nice and the entire complex was very clean. We especially liked the balcony. Our room didn't face the ocean, few did. However, the balconies were all arranged in such a way that each had that ocean view. The location was excellent - right on the corner of Duval Street, the main retail avenue and literally a few hundred feet from the southernmost point in the continental US. The hotel complex had lots of nice facilities - several pools (with associated bars), exercise room, rental bikes, etc. The staff was all very friendly. The one minor disappointment was that some of the events around the place ran on what could be called "island time." For instance, there was an ice cream social scheduled for the afternoon of our first day, but it never happened. Another day, the ping pong table in one of the shaded areas was taken down for another event, but never reassembled afterward. In all, though, these were minor issues. We had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay and everyone was so nice making sure we was taken care of. From the front desk to the bar restaurant and the room. All of the staff was nice helpful and friendly. It is a great place to stay and relax while enjoying all the things they offer plus Dvall St. we will go again. Very nice. Thank you to the great service.

Boutique hotel on the south side of Key West

Posted 17-Mar-2015
Pros: Beach close by (public), partial ocean views, clean, well maintained property, maids came by late in the day.
Cons: Would have liked a coffee maker & microwave in room. Private beach but not available at this location. Jacuzzi by the pool.
Location: beach, swimming, sunset cruises, sailing, scuba, snorkeling, fishing, dining, shops
I knew that the hotel was expensive, but I was surprised by all the extra fees (my mistake - the site does state them), including resort fees, parking, and very high taxes, so make sure you look closely at your total cost. Even though it was spring break, they did not staff all the pool bars. The resort fee covers beach chairs and towels, internet, business center, fitness center, pool access and the concierge. There was yoga on the beach, beer tasting, occasionally live music, and a few family activities. The staff were not overly friendly but professional. I've been to much more exotic locations in finer hotels that were less expensive, so I would not recommend. We did have a great time on the island and spent very little time in the room.

Very Expensive for what you get

Posted 16-Mar-2015
This hotel was very expensive yet did not have the facilities or location consistent with the price. Most of the rooms do not have a view of the ocean or the beach and our room had view of the parking lot, only, from a 2nd floor balcony!? There were also hidden costs, including a $25/day "resort fee" for some unknown service, especially where you had to pay daily fees for bike rental. All in all not a good experience and I would recommend that people go to other resort hotels that are cheaper and offer much better value.
