Best place in Key West

Posted 22-Dec-2014
This was our first time to Key West and chose to stay at the Southernmost Hotel on the beach for 5 nights. I’m so glad we did from check-in to check-out Larry took great care of us during our stay. We had the corner room #653 with a partial ocean view and a lovely balcony. The room was outstanding. With high end bedding and towels. The grounds were landscaped perfectly. We loved the tanning pier where we caught our evening sunsets without crowds of Mallory Square. The weather during the week was a bit cooler, but we took advantage of the chaise lounges on the beach, had drinks at the shore bar and ate at the café for a couple of our breakfasts. If you want a five star resort and accommodations stay at any of their properties in Key West.

wifi a little bit slow

Posted 22-Dec-2014
Pros: well spotted, design and very nice decoration in the room. Typical hotel from SOUTH like Cape Cod ! marvelous.
Cons: WIFI and beaches?very surprised to see that only 1 public small beach. No body in the ocean ? Many rocks around this city. wonder why?
Location: Definitely Louis's back yard, Trattoria et the sliders. Go see the pier for the sunset and the cruise ship. all those store around too.
First time in the keys and Iwe were charmed. Our hotel was so well spotted that we were able to do every visit by foot. Bravo! Construction of this hotel is wow! Like the yellow and the metal root! Louis's backyard dinner was fantastic ! very recommanded. 5 min from the hotel.. We visit this city by foot. No car needed. We hate the best SLIDERS on Duval street.

Great Hotel!

Posted 19-Dec-2014
Pros: Pretty much everything; location (right on the beach), rooms with balconies, and especially staff.
Cons: It's pricey, but so what.
Location: Close to great restaurants, bars, and beach
Everything was wonderful, especially the staff, which was totally top shelf. Kim, Jon, Ed, Cindy, Doug, Michael, Daniel, Carrie, and a half dozen names I can't remember were all helpful, fun, and great to be around. I had a wonderful time, and I'll be back next December.

back in a flash

Posted 18-Dec-2014
Pros: location and look
Cons: just a nasty bright deck light stayed on all night
Location: We walked twice a day up and down duval street; getting our exercise at 1 mile each way. Next time would also rent a bike.
Hotel was perfect! Perfect location; quiet end of Duval Street but within walking distance of Duval activities. Even though the weather was cooler, we still sunned ourselves on the dock every day, and definitely enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets; both easily seen from the hotel. All amenities, staff etc. were great. Would not hesitate to return!!

Nice hotel, beach smaller than expected.

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: Good location, nice room and staff, good on-site music/activities, bars
Cons: Beach was disappointing
Location: Could walk to most everything. Lots of good restaurants and shopping.
We had a great time even though the nights were cold we had lots of great sunny days! We visited in December and it was quite festive. People were great. Food was really good and plenty of fun places to go.

Pros: location
Cons: late check out cost
Location: didnt really need a car once we got there. Eveything was within walking distance.
The only thing that was disconcerting was we asked if we could check out 2 hours later since our flight was at night. The cost was going to be something like 170 dollars. Thats ridiculous. The hotel did provide showers and that was fine but 170 dollars is robery for 2 extra hours.

Amazing ocean view

Posted 09-Dec-2014
Pros: location and views
Cons: Maids should knock, then wait before entering a room. Walked in on my husband one morning and walking in on me in a public restroom.
Location: Many great beaches, shops, restaurants, biking opportunities very close by
Fantastic location right on the beach. Staff was nice. A little frustrating trying to rent bikes (concierge was away from desk). Decent fitness room. Loved the hammocks and lawn chairs! Would stay here again.
